A walk in the jungle
As usual this book also is a master piece. All should read books written by Anderson and Corbett to get a feel of the jungle. Certainly it will make us love the nature.

I loved all the works of Anderson but this particular story ...
Having read all Corbett and Anderson books I felt that the swami story to be a little made up, I loved all the works of Anderson but this particular story is a little too much to believe. The book has big print and easy to read though with many typos. Try completing his other works before reading this. Awesome narrator that he is , he make you live the adventure

Rupa Publications earns 2 Stars, Kenneth Anderson's prose earns 5 Stars.
2 stars to the publishers 'Rupa Publications India Pvt. Ltd'. Rupa Publications have published a book so full of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes that it detracts from the reading enjoyment. I suspect that the review and editorial process was non-existent and the do not care about customer satisfaction or doing justice to the prose.5 stars - Kenneth Anderson's writing transports me to an era that I have not lived in but have longed to experience - definitely a worth while read. The descriptions of the beauty of wild India by someone gifted in the art of expressing his genuine love for the same, will tear at your heart. It is a pity that India has lost even the last remnants of a irreplaceable heritage, of belonging to the land, and of valuing it.

Aaiyo !!! the swami of vayaithotu is .................... !!
This is the first book of Kenneth I have read so far and it was really a good read. The presentation of the locale as also the attitude of people, which I find has remained mostly unchanged, besides insight into the ways of the big cat is simply superb and the narration flows seamlessly from one situation to another and you neither feel rushed nor left in a loop. Read his Omnibus collection if you can or at least go for the smaller versions like this one - you need not be an astronaut to try and understand space, so like wise you need not be an animal lover to try and understand your immediate natural surroundings and the inmates living there !!

Fantastic read for those who love the jungle and wildlife
As always Kenneth Anderson excels in jungle lore and is fantastic insight into the jungle in 1940-1970 which we have unfortunately lost and now available to be read in a few books like his and Jim Corbett

Must buy. Value for money
Second other I like very much on jungle stories after Jim Corbett. Stories are very discriptive with maps and force to read till compltion of chapter. Must buy those who love indian forests and habitates.

Extreme Danger and Suspense
Incredible stories, all very well written. Any reader interested in the subject or who just likes suspense and adventure will love any of Ken Anderson's books. I've read several and they are all equally good. If I could give him six stars I would.
