I use these labels on back of my business cards... they work great!

Works great for personalized acrylic trophy plates.

I used these labels on the bottom of some mini trophies in the place of the little plaque. They’re easy to print on, (Avery has the template online) and the black ink showed up well on the gold. They stuck firmly to the base of the plastic trophy, and looked great. Just use caution not to rub your fingers over the printed area. There was some smudging when that occurred.

Finally something that works for my needs and projects!

No where on the package does it specify which type of printer these labels work for. I started with my laser printer and ruined a couple sheets before I realized the addresses were smudging off completely! With my inkjet printer I was able to get crisp printing and no smudges.

These labels REALLY look good. The gold tone is perfect and isn't over-shiny and cheap looking. For years I've been using these gold foil labels for different things: for return address labels on Christmas and holiday cards, for information labels on the bottled honey we produce, and for product labels on other products we create.They are easy to print and the lettering is permanent. I've never had a problem with smudging or the lettering wiping off. Other reviewers have mentioned smudging, but we don't have that problem. We use a Canon inkjet printer and the labels are printed in the evening and used the next day - maybe it's the "dry time" that's important. Either way, we've NEVER had a smudging problem. Also, the Avery-supplied 8987 template is accurate and aligns perfectly and is easy to use.Physically, they are very permanent. Once they are applied they stay stuck forever and they seem to be waterproof. They've gotten wet with no ill effects.I've used two other brands of gold foil labels including the house brand from a big-box office store and was disappointed in the quality and the way they printed (the inks didn't adhere to the label very well and smudged) so I was very, very happy to find these Avery labels. I wish I had found them sooner.

Using the laser printer the writing rubbed off the label.

These gold labels set off the black trimmed in gold envelopes I used for my husband’s thank you cards. They are beautiful and affordable. You will need to print them on a good laser printer so the ink seals with the label.

Used with Avery template and my Brother laser printer and it absorbed ink well. Good buy. Now the price has increased again. SMH

These look absolutely beautiful, however, the ink never dries properly and smudges even after 24 hours.
