Got it for my labs to lay down on

I purchased this cooling mat to take to the beach this summer for my dog to lay on and cool off under the tent. He's a shepherd mix with a double coat which is supposed to help cool him off naturally, but I worry sometimes that with all that fur, he'll overheat. I pulled it out early to get him used to it before we get to the beach next month so he will be familiar with it and know that it's there for him to lay on. So far the mat seems fine. It's very thin and flimsy, so I could see it not lasting for too terribly long if heavily used, but for ~$10 I'm okay with that. My dog does seem to gravitate to the pad when he's ready to lay down for a break, but the real test will be at the beach. I don't think there's any special "technology" here to keep him cool. I think it's basically just the fabric - similar to feeling silk sheets vs. cotton sheets, the silk just naturally feels cooler to the touch. That's what I equate this to, but I'm hoping that it will at least be better than a hot towel that's been in the sun when we get to the beach. I haven't washed it yet, but I'm definitely planning to wash it on the gentle cycle and air dry if/when I do. Overall for the price, I'm happy and I think it will serve it's purpose for my dog. But if you're looking for some incredibly advanced cooling mat that will actively cool your dog for long periods of time, this probably isn't it.

I actually bought this for my cat. My room doesn't get much air conditioning and can be kinda warm. He took over a pillow case I had left on the bed and I realized it was because it was cooler than my quilt so I bought this for him instead. He came to check it out and as soon as he figured out it was cool laid right down and rolled over!

This product was very disappointing. Did not meet the description and very flimsy. This was returned asap. Don’t waste your money

Ok so I don't do many reviews at all.. but I just had to on this product. I just found out my dog has cancer 😭 and we give him prednisone 1 side effect is he pants like CRAZY!! And I am just trying to make him feel comfortable, it's all I can do soooo I just received item... And put it on the floor (yes it is thin BUT it must work) because he went directly to lay on it immediately I couldn't believe it..... he's 95 lbs I got the XL and it's perfect!!!!! Right now as I'm even writing this review he is laying on it!! It's obviously helping or does work (with their body temps and whatever the product is made of.) I'm going to order a couple of more so I can put one where he sleeps, and other places where he likes to lay.(he moves around like from being in such discomfort) so 2 thumbs up from me..... so far it seems to help👌🏼
