Does the job, though it takes up a small part of the bed, it keeps the top half nice and warm.

Wasn't to hopeful whn I bought this but has proved itself a worthy purchase . An hour or so on my bedsheets with the duvet over it before I go to bed, on full power ( setting 3) & the bed is warm as a toaster when I climb in - wonderful ! I don't sleep on it , I take it off the bed before I climb in . Setting 2 is warmish & takes a bit longer to warm things ; only complaint is setting 1 is next to useless doesn't seem to warm things very much . Its a good size blanket covers almost all my King Size mattress. I use it wrapped around me too when sitting on sofa , central heating switched off & boy it warms me up! Flexibility is a little on the stff side with the heat elements in it but a very minor issue . And the power is no more than a 80W bulb! A great buy!! :)

Lets get the negative out the way: they are small for the bed size stated and then the strap for tying it length-wise (bottom to top) is way too short to reach. Very cheap of the manufacturer. On the plus side, I selected this one because I checked the dimensions and the one for a king actually fits a standard double matress just right. Other were too wide. You also get quite a decent amount of extra length with the king, so it is great for a double. I've fitted mine so that the connector is under the pillow, i.e. out the way when asleep. The ties are flat material so hardly the greatest but using the king size on a double leaves extra spare length so you can tie it on as a bow and therefore get it back off easily. Three sideways straps and one longways one, which as I said, doesn't fit. If I was really bothered I'd tie and extension on it, as this would be under the matress and not seen. As it is, I have it covered by a matress protector so it's not a problem. Heat-wise, it's not high power, which I find I like. It warms up gently on the low setting, so not too hot when you get in. If you forget to pre-warm and stick it on 3 when you get in, it warms up plenty quickly for me but doesn't get too hot under you. Other ones I have had in the past get too hot for my liking. All in all, for the price, it's great and suits me fine, but only because I checked and got the king size for my standard double.

Heated blankets like this are brilliant for keeping warm at night, economically, in otherwise cool homes. It's possible to feel the wires in this one under a brushed cotton or jersey sheet but they haven't disturbed my sleep. Heated blankets are typically cut very small. The Purus King Size fits a standard double mattress perfectly. I don't bother with the ties and find the blanket generally 'stays put'. It washed well.

Nothing like my old slumberdown, but you get what you pay for. On the highest setting, it’s mildly warm. Fits a double bed okay, but not a king size. Unless you’re playing sardines, someone will be left out in the cold. Advise spending more and get a known brand which I did before I forgot myself and got this one.

This is honestly one of the best purchases I have ever made. It has 3 settings and warms up pretty fast and in a time of extreme heating bills, it's just the best thing ever to chill out in bed with this electric blanket keeping me warm at a few pence an hour instead of ££££££.
