Ok so idk if it’s just me being picky and just my attention to detail being more precise then normal, but I am an artist ok and I like when an artist or painter pays attention to detail and for the $50 value that this it at makes me feel robbed, who ever was responsible for painting this was very very inconsistent all through out, this was rushed in my opinion and isn’t worth 50 bucks at all, you know if your gonna have a job where you paint things like this you’ve gotta be very very consistent especially if your asking it to people this was a very poor example of quality and says a lot about how you view your product and how much pride you put into your art work, the paint is chipping off it’s too thin, it has a lot of orange peel, and it’s not appealing at all, I’ll be submerging it in water and seeing how it holds up.. I originally bought this to go inside of an aquarium I’m designing but from what I’ve seen so far it’s already on the way to a repaint and design....

When I saw this Toscano Thai Sukhothai Buddha I'll confess to being a bit sceptical as it's not a "monochrome" version but a painted one and, in my experience, sometimes brightly coloured versions can look cheaply finished. I need not have worried as this Toscano version is beautifully finished and proportioned.Standing around 27cm high this statue is ideal for the sideboard or window ledge but it deserves to be put somewhere where it will be seen because it is so detailed and exudes a peaceful feeling. The finish is very good and appears to be a combination of high quality casting, paintwork, fabric and glass - I'm not entirely sure which bits are painted rather than fabric but the effect is very good and exudes quality. The statue is also nicely weighted plus features a felt underside to avoid marking furniture.Apart from the "technical" quality, subjectively, this is a charming piece and very good value considering all the effort that has gone into it.I really like this statue because of its high quality and charming design, it is easily worth its modest price tag. Recommended.

Very impressed with this little buddha. Very well made with quite intricate decoration, it was quickly spotted by one of my sons who said, "That's awesome..!...It stands at around 11" tall so is ideal for a mantle piece or shelf, and funnily enough, it does exude an air of calmness. I have sever Design Toscano items which tend to be best described as quirky, but this Buddha is best described as quaint. If you're after both an eye catching centrepiece for display then this ticks all the boxes. Recommended.

A very attractive statuette for your trinket case should you have one. I am not of a religious bent but I do think the Buddha has brought a new sense of calm to my living room. Even my cat seems calmer, her mad half-hour in the evening is now down to a more manageable fifteen minutes. Peace be to one and all.
