Wicked Women: Stories (Weldon, Fay)

Weldon as Usual
Fay Weldon rarely if ever disappointment and this collection of short stories is no exception. I liked some more than others, which I'd expect, but that's no reason to mark it down. For some reason 'Santa Claus's New Clothes' was my favourite, but I couldn't say why. Overall witty, wicked, sharp and funny. Great stuff.

Unterhaltsam
Wicked Women ist eine sehr typische Fay Weldon Arbeit. Verschiedene zusammenhängende Charaktere und ihre Sicht der Dinge werden aufgezeigt. Ein Lesevergnügen!

dull, hard to understand - couldn't get through even the first story
Every author knows that you have to grab your readers within the first few sentences or you have lost them. I was lost immediately and even though I attempted to keep going - looking for the spark I'd found in Stepmother's Diary - I never got past the first two short stories. I can't decide if I should pitch it or donate it to the library for resale. I don't think you can count on enjoying the product just because you see the author's name under the title

Interesting approach to women
Interesting, well written but not her best work. Some stories were intriguing but most were ho-hum. Try her other books.

One Star
Not very entertaining. Certainly not upto "she devil" expectations.
