I am a former percussionist (high school) who wanted to get back into it in my later years but did not have the space or want to spend the money for a electronic kit until I felt I would keep at it. While it may look a bit toyish this thing ended up being everything I wanted it to be. No batteries to change since they are rechargeable and USB. The charge lasts an incredible long time. The sound is very realistic and with the external jack I can cover songs from my phone etc. and it matches up well. I am fairly fast with my rudiments, rolls etc and the thing keeps up with me not missing a beat. The only thing it does not do well is capture the intensity of the beats hard or soft will give you the same sound. The pedals for the kick and hi-hat are a bit lacking but they work and are functional so I consider it fortunate that is has them so it better simulates a real set. The headphone jack is essential since I don't want to bother others in the house. The sticks that come with it however are basically toys, so I highly suggest getting better sticks if you are not buying as a toy for a kid. If you want something that is in-expensive but nice for practice and gives you pretty realistic sound this works.

The accuracy and sound is nice and my 13 year old daughter loves it! The kit is nice and am pleased it works well and sounds nice!

I will start off by saying this drum pad is great! I am a complete beginner to learning the drums, never played or even touched an actual drumset before and I feel like with my implemented solutions this replicated my idea of an actual drumset pretty well. My usage with this pad is mainly via the usb passthrough. I hooked up the drumpad to my computer via the USB and used programs such as EZDRUMMER 3 and Clone Hero. This pad IS GREAT for playing games such as Clone Hero, the triggers are clear and rarely ever misinput. If you keep your stick on the pad too long you may register extra inputs otherwise it's perfectly fine. The built in speakers and drumset sounds are mediocre at best and leave you wanting more. That's why I installed EZDRUMMER 3 to handle all the drumset sounds. Early on when you use the drumset the speakers may sound like they're dying when you play, just keep charging the pad and over time they'll sound better but never great.The footpedals for the kick drum and hihat choking perform well. Early on when I was learning to use the kick-pedal I would press the pedal softly and it wouldn't register hits well, and would even introduce additional trigger hits. Once I learned how to properly hit the foot pedal the additional inputs stopped. The pedals handle fast and hard movements surprisingly well.Pros:-MIDI Passthrough for playing games such as Clone Hero, or for Music Production.-Registers hits very well and rarely ever misses. You'll be more likely to register an extra hit before it doesn't register a hit.Cons:-Built In-Speakers are not the greatest but they do alright.-Drumstyles and sounds aren't that great. Would recommend using the USB passthrough and utilizing third party software such as EZDRUMMER.-Pedals have rubber underneath to stop sliding which work for softer playing but anything requiring consistently fast pedal usage they begin to slip and move. I had to tape my pedals down to the floor to stop them from moving.I would recommend this to people who are looking to learn the drums at an affordable price. Games such as Clone Hero are a great learning tool that allow you to practice and play to your favorite songs. If you can get your hands on EZDRUMMER or a DAW to handle the drum sounds it'll greatly improve your experience playing.

The media could not be loaded.  Okay, this isn't as good as having the real thing. But, who can afford a REAL drum kit with all of the components in this practice kit? Who has the room to just set it up and leave it?I got this set, so I could download some 'how to' videos and see if I can actually learn to play the drums. So far, I have learned that I do have a good sense of rhythm and can actually do different things with my left and right hands (I'm not really ambidextrous. But, there is a flow that I can follow).The kit has good sound quality, from the included stereo speakers. It also has a 'line out' jack so you can add a headphone set or your own speaker. Like I did in the demo. This kit is very versatile. Many different sound types, rhythms, speeds, etc. It will record your tracks. The kick and cymbal pedals don't really mimic the real deal as far as how it feels. But, if you get past that and just focus on the sound, you're great. The line in jack is great, for adding your own music to play to.I don't know if I will ever get good enough to play the drums at our church services. But, that's my goal. And, I know that this kit will help me get far. Good purchase.

I purchased this for my son in 6th grade beginner percussionist. He loves it and I do too. Great product for the price

6 year old boy was desperate for a drum set! When he is in room with closed door I don’t hear it! Everyone wins!!!Even in the living room and shared living spaces, the volume can be turned down.

It's a nice option for a gift, specially for those kids who are inyo music.It can be adjusted to different levels, and rhythms. My niece fell in love with it instantly. It has nothing less than a real drum. It's portable and easy to carry!

I gave this to my 8 year old grandson and my 6 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old grandsons all went crazy over it, playing and jumping to it for ages on Christmas Day. I need one for myself! Different sounds to the different drums and cymbals and infectious fun, truly. So worth it!

It came earlier than expected. Was a gift for my daughter who loves music. She loves it. She can bring it to any room in the house to jam. Very fun. Highly recommend.
