SQlab 612 Ergowave Active 2.1

New to cycling, I had to learn the hard way about saddle fit. For two months, each ride was cut short by saddle pain, despite trying different saddles. After trying 5 different saddles, this was the only one that gave me a comfortable fit. I'm a big guy at 6'5" 270 pounds, and did my best to measure my sit bone width at home. Most of the 140ish mm size saddles left me with pain and numbness as my sit bones are wider than the saddle even in an aggressive forward leaning road bike posture. Wide saddles in the 180mm range ended up being too big, chafing my thighs when riding aggressively. Noseless saddles felt wierd and awkward. Only this saddle had the width for sit bones and narrowness in a reasonably long enough nose to fit me. And, as a bonus, I get a firm but helpful impact dampening from the included rubber insert (used the firmest of the three as I am heavy). I believe that taking into account your own sit bone width, riding posture and weight will help you find the right saddle, and you won't have as long and painful a learning experience as I did.

I have tried many saddles over the years. This is the most comfortable that I have used. The shape of the saddle gives great support and relieves pressure in sensitive areas. It is very well designed and constructed. Shipping was extremely fast. I highly recommend this one

great seat, but purchased too wide because others run narrow. These do not run narrow.

it work better then most saddles or maybe all just a little layout change and this could be perfect

This saddle is well designed and constructed. I wasn’t aware that it comes in different sizes so I may have ordered the wrong size. If you’re considering this saddle, go online and find out how to measure your sitbone spacing.

Hab den Sattel im Rahmen eines Bikefittings erworben.Hab ign jetzt für ein anderes Bike ein zweites Mal gekauft, da ich auch nach 1 Jahr super zufrieden bin! Kann locker 6 Std drauf sitzen, keine Probleme, bequem. Belüftung könnte besser sein, aber sonst top.

I read many reviews and decided to try it since the old saddle was getting a little tatty. I don’t get off the bike with aches any more, it’s comfortable in the right places and not too soft and mushy. Probably the best saddle I’ve ever used.

Cette selle est une très bonne alternative aux selles ISM. Les deux marques ont leurs avantages et inconvénients. SQlab propose différentes largeurs, j'ai pris la plus large, afin de bien poser mon bassin. ainsi que différents modèle (612 et 613) a adopter selon la pratique. Avec la 612, la position est plus relevée qu'avec la 613. Ce qui est plus confortable sur une durée de plus de 3h30 de vélo.L'assise peut surprendre car l'on ressent bien être posé sur "les os" et non plus sur les tissus mous. Avec la SQlab, je redécouvre mes cuissards !

I sent it back and purchased an Ergon Sport Gel and that is comfortable.

Mit meinem bisherigen Sattel ging ab ca. 50 km das hin- und herrutschen los, um die Schmerzen ertragen zu können. Ab 70 km gab's dann keine Sattelposition mehr, die nicht total schmerzhaft war. Habe heute meinen SQlab bekommen, grob eingestellt und kann nun nach 4:15 h Fahrtzeit und 102 km berichten, dass das Sitzfleisch wohl noch einiges an km mehr verkraftet hätte. Bin total begeistert... =)(By the way: Der Sattel war bei mir brandneu und original verpackt)
