Urban CoCoWomen's Elegant Long Sleeve Ruched Velvet Stretchy Long Dress

This is a very nice dress, especially for the price! I am a 12/14 and tried a few sizes, and ended up with the XXL. I did not want it too tight, and I wanted some give. I actually could have gotten away with a Xl or even L, but rather have the ease; rather than making my stomach poke out, the princess-ines are flattering. I said "fit as expected", but that is by the measurements they post with the sizes - this is NOT American sizing. Often when they use this sizing, I find the waist is too ow; that is NOT the case in this dress.I am 5'4" and the length comes to my ankles. Glad I did not have to hem it but for a taller person you probably are looking at a tea-length dress.I actually bought it as a lounge-dress to be comfy at night, but I would not hesitate to put on a nice necklace an have a date-night! The purple is very dark, but some would call it elegant. The stretchy material is what makes it so comfortable. I cannot figure out why the "Runched" is in the title. When I first saw this title I passed it by, but then eventually I looked closely at the picture and did not see any raunching. Bottom line - if you wnt raunching you will not want this dress. The stretchy velvet has a nice, tight nap. again - WELL WORTH the money!

The arms are a good fit, but that is where the good ends. Even the fit around the legs is a bit tight for this dress, when it should not be so tight. The legs the fit is okay, it could do with more material to really make it fit, flow and move better. That is where the okay stuff ends with this dress. I was very surprised to have such a tight fit in the hip area, that is not normal for this sort of dress, and my review keeps moving towards the worst parts of this! At the waist where it should be a more smooth flowing transition from tight in the bust to loose at the hips and tons of room in the legs, this fits more like a sheath dress showing off all your imperfections in that area, rather than gliding over them and smoothing them out with a looser fit. The chest is VERY tight, and I'm not that big! I'm only a 38D and planning to go bigger this summer, if I go much bigger this dress may not even fit me! I would say order up a size if you can!If you look at the seams you can easily see the problem. There should be some triangular seems near the hemline, there isn't. When the dress is hanging you should see a slight hourglass shape to it, instead there is nothing but straight seams around the waist. The did stitch it together like a long sheath dress that fits nothing like it does the model in the image. It's cut to stretch so your body makes the curves instead of the dress giving you the curves with proper stitching. This is a cheap and poorly made dress.The weird part is that the seams are sitting where they should, but the fit is all wrong. It's as if the manufacturer tried to make the dress fit with as little material as possible. Rather than make a comfortable flattering dress for as many body types as possible they chose to cut corners and make people feel bad about themselves. Not a good business model.

Just received this dress today. My mom instantly loved it. She's wearing to a wedding.

When I first got this dress I loved how it slipped on and how it felt. However I noticed that the front of the hem was shorter than the back. It would not have been much of a big deal but the transition didn't look purposeful for a hi-low hem. I took it off and tried it on later after letting it hang for a while. When I tried it on again I noticed that the neckline seemed a little off. (Probably not noticeable to anyone but me.) Still no difference in the hem. I took it off and tried a little later. After wearing it while trying it on with different shoes I noticed the dress kept shifting to one side. The dress had been cut off grain making the garment shift to one side. Very disappointed - I've been looking for a dress like this. The seam in the back was also off. I have a long torso and the waist of this dress was too long for me! I got a medium and it ran a little big but I think a small would've been too tight for my taste. The length hit me above the ankles. This is my third dress purchase from Amazon and my third fail. So sad. I'm returning and ordering another just in case - but the price went up $3.00!!! Ugh. There’s was beautiful but was too small so had to return it. I would go go to the next size up but would be even longer & I would be stepping on it.

That velvet dress is perfect for celebration of something, for parties in good evenings and even for appearance on stage. For my figure waist and lower place for hips is little bit tight. So, because I don't hope became thinner, I am looking how to cover that place. Might be, I try to find valance from silk of the same nuance of color.Anyway, I don't want to return it. It so elegant!

Love the dress very unsatisfied but it just got delivered today with 2 holes in the dress. The other image is the stitching under the armpits which seems loose and as if it may open up with a hole eventually. Lots of hair likes to stick to the dress all over. Other than that the dress is very comfy and soft and pretty. Drags along the floor on me (easy fix with heels) and is quite big/ loose but not in a way that I mind and I like wearing loose clothing in general . 4' 11" size 0 93 lbs 34B. I picked small.Wanted to contact seller but do not know how. Was wondering if it's possible to get a dress with no small or big holes with someone checking the dress before shipping but i fear I'll just get sent another detective dress. If it didn't have the issues i mentioned i liked the dress enough to buy another one for someone else as a gift. But unfortunately can't do that with this quality.

I bought this dress for our family christmas photos. The dress is beautiful. It fits true to size and the material is very soft. It washed up nicely as well. And the color was amazing just like in the photo. Would definitely recommend

Loved the colour, quality good for price. I ordered one size up due to reviews the top and sleeves too big and baggy fitted on hip area. I am normally a standard size 12 this was not a standard fitting. So returned

I needed to find something to wear to church on Christmas Eve and I purchased this dress in an XL in the Lyons Blue. I kept my expectations low, but was pleasantly surprised, the dress fit true to size, if not slightly larger. The fabric was heavier than I expected and had a small amount of stretch. The blue colour is stunning, almost like a peacock blue and I kid you not, people came over after church to compliment me on the "gown" as they called it. So there you go, for $39.00 you can't go wrong. I gave the dress 4 instead of 5 stars as I would have liked the dress to have a little more stretch.

This was a beautiful dress but returned it because it fit more snug than expected. Well made. Good for the price.
