Pelican Rouge 1863 Coffee Blend 1 kg & Barista Coffee Blend 1 kg

I've been ordering Pelican Rouge brands for at least 8 years. Maybe longer? Either way the coffee is excellent, via the Amazon Subscribe and Save programme the value can't be beat. I drink it black, make cappuccinos and lattes for the family. Going to grind up a cuppa of these beans right now after submitting this review.Seriously for the price, the quality of Pelican coffee beans can't be beat. No, I am in no way compensated or endorsing their brand. I've just been buying their beans for many years and have great coffee!

A matter of taste i guess, but found this strong, a bit sharp. Not smooth or mellow, but not primitive either. Pretty good value at the price.

Good tasty coffee at a good price

I've always used another brand but it was getting expensive and had to go to different supermarkets to buy when on sale. A friend of mine bought this, he knows his coffee, so I thought for the price I will give it a go. I wasn't disappointed. It grinds well and has a good crema on top. Tastes a little nutty which is lovely. It is also really nice as an iced drink with some caramel flavouring. Will definitely be using this brand from now on, and if you subscribe you get 5% off winner.

Brilliant coffee.

It's a little bitter but a nice coffee

Previously we would get through loads of Taylors rich italian ground as our daily cafetiere coffee. This, freshly ground beats it by a country mile and works out significantly cheaper (and easier) as part of our monthly subscribe and save order. Our delonghi KG79 is set to a medium grind, and kettle at 95 degrees makes for a great cafetiere every time. Even tastes great once it's gone cold. Each bag lasts us 2 weeks.

Got these beans after trying out a few other of the 1kg options but wasn't impressed. The beans are very dark and heavily roasted making quite a bitter brew. I couldn't get a decent espresso pull out of them either, very weak crema.
