In my humble opinion, these are THE best knee braces for those with chondromalacia. And these particular braces are extremely good quality. They have comfortable gel pads that fit just below the knee cap for great support and comfort. These are especially helpful when hiking and going downhill when this condition can be most painful. They're easy to get on and off, but the velcro is very strong so you'll have to use a little effort to do so; however, this is a good thing because they do not slip around. Very good quality. Absolutely recommend!

I have tried several brands in my case these have worked the best for me with excellent support and stability. The are very comfortable and in my experience better made then others that I have tried.

The leather gives this much greater strength then the elastic bands but the cost is that it does not bend around the Tibia bone as easily causing some friction on the bone if worn for a few hours. I actually use this above my knee and an elastic one below to give my knee stability.

I have purchased other knee support straps and the were nowhere as comfortable and allows for really good security. Good quality. I recommend this product.

These bands look dorky but really did allow me to do some serious walking

I have a torn L-PCL that was never repaired & a R-ACL that was repaired. However over 22+ years, I've have battled with knee pain off and on. Ice & Heat... RICE... Pain killers... and then I found these knee supports. What a great relief it has been and comfort. So now when either of my knees feel pain or I twisted it somehow? This is my go to relief. I like it so much that I purchased another set. One to keep at home & one set to keep in my car in case I need it at work. It will stay in place & not slide or slip down providing that you're wearing the proper size.

I planned to return this but decided to give it a try. It stays in place and didn't bruise my skin. I am happy with the product.

This knee brace work. Postponed knee replacement after 3 day of using it, severe pain went away. Was able to walk and play golf.
