To say these pants are stiff would be a complete understatement. They actually stand up in their own! (Gave them two stars because they are the color I needed and I haven't washed them yet.)

My son has worn French Toast pants for years (for school uniform) and they've all been super soft, but for some reason this last batch is so hard and scratchy he can barely wear them! I tried washing them to see if they soften up but no dice. I took out a pair of his soft ones and it's distinctly different.Not sure how he's going to be able to wear these all year. I'll have to buy him another brand now. Very disappointed in the "new" material French Toast is making these boys' pants out of. Even an adult would find these extremely uncomfortable to wear if they were in the adult size.Waste of money and am very disappointed. Will NEVER buy French Toast online again. I'll need to feel the material first.

Rating 4 stars for now, because my son has yet to wear them. I wanted to post reference the size of these pants and texture. They are definitely rough to the touch, but not bad. With regard to the length, they seem to run short compared to other brands but have wider leg. I compared the length to a pair of Genuine School Uniform and Children's Place brands, size 7. You can see in the photos that they are much shorter than both of those. For my son, the length is not an issue but I can see how it can be for others.

French Toast brand is far more affordable and has last-ability! WIth how active my son is and how many pants I go through outside of school because of the holes he puts on the knee sections, I've been more than impressed with how well these have lasted and not ever one hole or sign of wear in any pair, I only have to buy more when he grows! And the nice thing is these always have a little extra length for growth and I love the adjustable waist on the inside, but the best part is the knee reinforcement on the inside, and the fact that I rarely ever have to iron, because once these come out of the dryer, they're flat, and look fresh and wrinkle free! My local meijer is the only one who sells these locally, but they only get one shipment of all sizes a few weeks before the start of the school year, so it's a matter of who gets there first for sizes. I was so happy to find these on amazon, because I've not found them anywhere else! They are pricier here on amazon, and I wish they had deals for buying more than one pair, but I know and trust this brand now, and will continue to purchase for years to come, since my son has many years of private schooling to go!

Well, they are made well and fit good however very very stiff!!

These are durable uniform pants that lasted longer than similar ones from Children's Place. The sizing is bigger than Children's Place or Carter's, but is similar to Old Navy and Gap. The adjustable straps allowed for them to fit my average height but slim son. However, when we tried a size up, the pants weren't terribly long, but we had to tighten them so much they were poofy around the hips. If you have a super-skinny, super long child these may or may not work for them. They are thick and seem somewhat rigid when you first buy them but do soften up a little after a few washes. The rigidity is due to starch, so even if you don't hang these or fold them right away, they don't easily wrinkle. We pulled these out of the clean clothes pile a few times, and they still looked good and weren't wrinkled. Of the different uniform pants we tried, these were the sturdiest and most practical. With this color, they definitely do stain, so if you have a choice I would use the darker khaki. They also have reinforced knees, so if you have a child who is prone to going through the knees of pants, these are a good buy. Overall, these were a good buy and were cheaper than buying them through the uniform shop for the school.

I had hoped that this product was going to work. However, the fabric is simply HORRIBLE! It is extremely stiff and feels very uncomfortable. It feels like stiff outdoor fabric. I washed the pants 3 times, then bought additional fabric softener, and it made no dent in the stiffness. I can image how much chaffing these pants will cause the wearer. Definitely do not buy this. I don't doubt the stiffness will increase the durability of wear, but, first you will need to see if your child will actually wear it. Unfortunately, I took it out and washed it, thinking washing would reduce the stiffness. Now I can't return the product and have a pair of totally useless pants in the house.

Bought the size 8 for my 8yo. He has a slightly larger than average waist and these fit well, maybe even a little loose. Also there are buttons to adjust the waist down for smaller waists. They had to be hemmed a ton buy my son is the shortest in his class. I have never seen pants with such stiff and scratchy fabric. I would never force my son to wear these all day. I got the navy to wear with his cub scout uniform and they are perfect for that. Also they are good for church but definitely not for a school uniform.

These pants are comparable to the price paid. Still almost $25 cheaper than the local cresting business.

Colour: They are navy blue.Size: Good length with room to grow. The waistband is adjustable, which is needed as the pants have a generous waist.Knees: The knee reinforcement is not obvious unless you're looking for it.When they arrived, these pants could stand up by themselves! Even after washing they still seem stiffed. This being said, they seem durable - capable of surviving a very active boy's rough play for several months.

Good quality. Used for youth baseball umping and the stretch in material is good

Look strong and thick. Much better than Old Navy and far cheaper than the uniform store.
