But with practice and original analysis and thought, you'll have the tools you need to become a very successful trader.Do not bother with interpretations of Elliott Wave theory, read RNE's original work in the back of this book. Even Prechter's analysis, while adding very useful insights into the personality of waves (allowing your to recognize the social environments that accompany and create certain waves, thus helping to confirm the waves you identify) is a bit shoddy in some areas.RNE's work is a priceless gift to the thinking individual willing to work at it, so oddly, it is very difficult to share.

Was not exactly what I expected, thought there would be more substance to the book.

Totally cool book. The end of chapter footnotes by Prechter are extremely helpful. And do not skip over the 75 page biography of Elliott at the beginning of the book.. A fascinating look at a man who lived in the early part of the 20th century.

Die Elliott Wave Theorie ist eine Methode Börsenkurse zu interpretieren und mit einer gewissen Wahrscheinlichkeit vorherzusagen. Das Buch bietet durch die Originalarbeiten des Schöpfers dieser Theorie einen sehr guten Einstieg. Interessant ist auch der Lebenslauf Elliott's, der einen Teil des Buches ausmacht. Hin und wieder gleiten die Texte Elliott's ins Esoterische ab. Z.B. ist ziemlich häufig von Naturgesetzen die Rede, die in der Elliott Wave Theorie zum Ausdruck kämen. Das tut der Theorie und ihrer Anwendbarkeit auf Börsenkurse aber keinen Abbruch.Wer allerdings einen Ratgeber, schnell und ohne Aufwand reich zu werden, erwartet, der wird sicher enttäuscht werden. Schließlich ist die Theorie schon 80 Jahre alt und Leute, die durch die Börse reich geworden sind, sind heute genauso rar wie zu Zeiten Elliott's. Ein Fachbuch also, das eine herrlich komplexe Theorie verständlich darstellt und das aus erster Hand. Mit dem Wissen dieses Buches kann man dann auch gut die Seriösität anderer Werke über die Elliott Wave Theorie abschätzen.

This book is one of the most tediously dry and boring technical trading books I have ever read--Period. Save yourself the money and simply Wikipedia 'Elliott Wave Principle'.The Society of Technical Analysts (STA) should be ashamed this book is on their reading list!
