Totally transformed my alloy wheel cleaning experience for the better!
This really is a very impressive brush for cleaning alloy wheels and for me it's totally transformed something that is normally a bit of a nightmare into an absolute breeze.Whilst it may be a little expensive for what it is, it does an amazing job and looks and feels like it will last a while. It's a bit like a round sash paintbrush but the bristles are very firm and strong. No matter how much of a beating I gave it the bristles always went back to their original position. None of the bristles bent or broke off so I have a good feeling I'll get a few uses out of this.I used this in combination with AutoGlym's 'Clean Wheels' spray and after spending 3-5 minutes per wheel they actually look like new. Very impressed.Pros:- Very firm/string bristles that don't break or bend easily- Returns to it's original shape, regardless of how much of a beating it takes- Easily reaches all the nooks and cranny's on the alloy wheels I used it on- Doesn't damage the alloys finishCons:- It is expensive for what it is but it really does seem worth it to meNetural- It needs to be combined with an alloy wheel cleaner to get the best results. I used it with AutoGlym's 'Clean Wheels' and got brilliant results.

Don't waste money on infirior brushes
If you are fussy about getting your alloys spotless, don't Bother with other brushes, go straight to this. I've been cleaning alloys for many years. I've used those that have nylon bristles twisted through wire and those that are like a plastic brush handle with bristles out of one side. They don't get in all the nooks and crannies and quickly lose shape. This is quite different- it's rather like a stiff paintbrush. The bristles are quite space age, they do not weaken or lose shape with repeated use and it maintains a perfect tip. Some have commented that its small and takes a long time to do the job. I clean 17" wheels with this, it takes about 3 minutes a wheel which includes intricate parts. So not fast, but not slow either with all four wheels done in 10 minutes or so. I can get this into slotted gaps of about 10 mil wide and 2 inches deep. Use with alloy wheel cleaner and treat the wheels as a separate job to the rest of the car. This really stands out from the rest, highly recommended.

Black wheels??
Hmm, well, I'm confused on this one. On the picture is clearly shows a car with black wheels, and yet on the instructions it says not to use on black wheels. I left it too long for the return and so t it will reside in the garage gathering dust.

Spreads more than it cleans!
I have been buying Autoglym cleaning products for years, never had an issue, love them!! This brush, however, for me is not fit for purpose. As proclaimed, it does hold it's shape and gets into all the nooks and crannies of alloy wheels. Please note I used this brush with the Autoglym Wheel Cleaner! I sprayed on the cleaner, left it a short while to dissolve grease and brake dust and started to try and remove with the brush. At first it seemed to be working but then I noticed it was actually putting the grease back onto the alloy? It doesn't seem to 'lift' the grease away from the wheel, just spread it around. I had to use copious amounts of Autoglym degreaser to clean the brush. I'm not sure whether it's a 'bristle' issue but I can assure you, I was doing everything correctly. I ended up using a stiff natural bristle paint brush which lifted everything away from the wheel and didn't put it back on again! For me this was a complete waste of money.

Nooks and crannies.
I use a different brush for most of the wheel but that is too big to access the wheelnut recess and between narrower spokes. This brush is good for that. I suspect a softer bristle detailing brush would be just as effective though. However, that could be less efficient at removing stubborn brake dust.On the whole a useful brush, although a bit pricey for what it is.
