I am a self tanning pro- self tanning for well over 20 years. I am fair skinned, freckles, strawberry blonde/red hair & blue eyes. I have a very pink undertone. My skin is also very dry, and at 49, I do have some crepeyness (sp??), Small amount of stretch marks and a small amount of cellulite. This was my first time using skinny tan's wonder serum and seriously, I loved it. The serum texture goes a long way. Because it has skin care ingredients and is a serum, it didn't dry my skin and give it that dreaded self tan itchy feeling while developing. I left it on for 4.5 hours (accidentally, I planned to go only 3) and WOW it did turn me dark! Typically when I try to go dark, ALL tanners teeter on the orange hue, but that's my skin's normal reaction to the DHA, not the tanner itself. This one, surprisingly doesn't have that orange hue even tho I'm super dark and THATS the most impressive about this tan. This one has officially slid into my number one spot for self tanners (I've been using minetan absolute for over a year). I have a problem with the pH level of my skin being wonky, so I ALWAYS use the norvell pH balancing spray immediately before tanning, otherwise the DHA doesn't react properly on my skin. I get great results with self tan using the pH spray. I highly recommend this self tan tho. There was very little smell while it was developing. It does stay tacky for longer than mousses because of the serum consistency but it does eventually dry down. There was very little transfer to my clothes while developing as well. I use the skinny Tan No-Tox on my face and LOVE it. It's the only face tanner that gives me good visible color. Overall a fantastic tan. Definitely recommend.

This is without a doubt the best fake tan I have ever used - no awful smell and instant as well as lazing result- I do recommend putting moisturiser on ankles and knees etc and using the Skinny Tan mitt - just rinse it out in cold water and soap after use and it will last - believe me I have tried a lot of makes and this is the best

This serum is amazing. Does exactly what it says on the tin. I’ve tried lot’s of different tanners, cheap and expensive but this one is by far the best. Goes on smooth, leave for a couple of hours and boom you have a brilliant natural looking tan. Still had the smell of biscuits but worth it.

I haven’t used a tanning serum before and as this was a first experience I decided to use my husband to test it on. He is always after a sun-tanned skin but works nights, so isn’t usually awake long enough during the day to bask under the sunshine and achieve a natural tan. He was either very brave or a little daft allowing me to do this because I wasn’t really sure about the amount I should use or how to apply it correctly.I read the instructions on the back of the bottle as well as the more in-depth directions on the Amazon page and it seemed straight forward enough. After my husband had exfoliated and moisturised his skin, I applied the serum. I was surprised how dark the serum looked when I put some in the palm of my hand and I didn’t have any disposable gloves or an exfoliating mitt, so was about discover why it is so important to wear them! I applied the serum over his arms, neck, and face. The serum absorbed into his skin easily and there didn’t appear to be any signs of streaking during the application process.An hour later my husband rinsed off the serum and was a little shocked when he saw the orange colour of the water! He needn’t have worried though, because the results on his skin were perfect and he had a subtle tan, which actually looked very natural. We decided that the one-hour application time is more than enough to give him the results he was looking for, so he didn’t feel the need to wait the full 12 hours as advised for a darker skin tone.Over the course of the next 8 days his tan continued to look good although the water still turned orange each time he washed.My husband is really happy with the results he has obtained from this serum but I am paying the consequences for applying the serum with my bare hands! My palms have been stained a dirty orange colour all week and no matter how hard I have scrubbed with soap and water, there are still remnants of it a week on. It serves me right for not covering my hands as advised and I will definitely be investing in some gloves in readiness for the next application, which my husband is already nagging me to do!
