Was not balanced well cheaply made and was supposed to have 2 sizes for fries came with one

Flimsy
I used it once and it bent and did not cut the potato. Very flimsy and not at all sturdy. I ordered another one that was more expensive but completely worth it because it works great.

Mmmmmm French Fries.
This cuts potatoes with ease. I haven't tired other vegetables yet. I cut up a few potatoes then diced them up to make home fries. I can't say that it has a suction base. I haven't noticed it. It stays in place. It was a nice purchase.

Too small
Not big enough for an average sized russet potato to fit, if they had dimensions in the description I would've gave 4 stars because it works well. The thickness is good too. Just needs to be about an inch longer

Works OK if you know a few tips.
1. Instructions are wrong, you need to cut the ends off of a large russet potato, then cut in half.2. Place the large cut end of potato against cutting blades.3. Definitely microwave a sweet potato or yam to soften a bit.4. Don't apply superman force to the handle. If it doesn't work using medium force, look to make sure that the potato isn't too big to fit through, or off to one side of square blade area and not able to cut straight through.5. Hand wash/rinse right away, don't wait.IMPORTANT:* If potato is too big to fit within the blade-area, slice off a bit to make potato skinnier. Entire potato must fit inside square blade area.* If potato is smaller diameter, make sure to center the potato on the middle of the bladed area. If you place the potato all the way down the cutter will apply uneven pressure and turn askew, and won't be able to cut properly. Just position the potato centered in the square blade area.

Works Great
I enjoy this and use it often for prepping fries for my air fryer. Here's a few tips. Put the potato in the microwave for one minute beforehand. this will make it cut with ease. Also make sure the potato is centered and not touching the walls.
