Such An Interesting Oil
I've taken Prickly Pear Cactus in capsules for years. It does so many good things for one's overall health, and it also staves off a red wine headache better than anything else, neutralizing tannins and histamines. So when I saw this "Organic Prickly Pear Cactus Seed Oil (Barbary Fig) 1 oz. by Tropical Holistic 100% Pure Virgin, Cold Pressed" oil for one's skin, I had to see what it was all about. This oil feels like a skin serum oil. It isn't drippy or too greasy. It absorbs after a while and leaves my skin supple with a healthy glow. I have really sensitive skin, and this serum oil is soothing and not irritating at all.I know over time prickly pear cactus is supposed to help cell regeneration when it is applied to one's skin, which makes sense considering taking an internal form of this natural wonder has similar properties. Using prickly pear cactus has been a tried and true homeopathic remedy since ye old timey days, so I have high hopes that I'll see my skin continue to benefit from this product. If my experience with this product helps your decision-making at all, please let me know by tapping the Like button.

Excellent, lightweight oil for hair & skin
This is a pure & natural, lightweight, non-greasy, antioxidant-rich oil that can be used to soothe dry hair and skin. I have dry hair, so even though I use a cool dryer setting or let it dry naturally, my hair looks frizzy after washing. My solution has been to rub some coconut oil onto my hands and then lightly rub it over the driest surfaces of my hair. It eliminates the frizzies and makes my hair sparkle. This prickly pear seed oil works just as well (see photo) - maybe even a bit better because I think it's even less greasy and lighter weight than coconut oil, so it's less likely to weigh my hair down. This oil has no scent at all, unlike the coconut oil and it also has the faintest yellow tint, so if you have very white or silver hair, could this stain it after long-term use? I can't know for sure, my white hair is so dry, it may retain some of the color after awhile, I suppose. If my hair was any other color, I would prefer the prickly pear seed oil as a hair moisturizer because it's so lightweight. As a facial oil, it's excellent because it's very hydrating, non-greasy and doesn’t cause any eye irritation when I use it on my lids. This oil is very nourishing for skin because it contains essential omega-6 fatty acids (aka linoleic acid) vitamins E and K and zinc. These properties make it especially helpful for the appearance of dry, mature skin because they help improve skins elasticity and fade age spots and even some scars, but it's also effective for healing acne and rosacea because it reduces Inflammation. Because it absorbs so well, is non-greasy, has potent skin benefits and is difficult to extract, prickly pear seed oil is one of the most expensive beauty oils in the world. (8 tons of fruit pods are required to produce 1 liter of prickly pear oil) Luckily, this oil is affordable because it's a highly-sustainable, easily-propagated plant crop. This is an excellent quality oil that would be a real treat as a gift for anyone who loves quality natural health and beauty products.

Strickly Pricky Pear 🌵
First impressions: the amber glass bottle on the Tropical Holistic Store’s Organic Prickly Pear Cactus Seed Oil (Barbary Fig) is easy to handle and not as heavy as other one-ounce bottles I’ve used for other oils and cosmetics. In addition, the pump spray works well. 🌵I, too, love the fact that the oil is 100% pure virgin, cold pressed and especially the fact that it is cruelty-free and NOT tested on animals. 🌵From skin to nail to hair benefits, pricky pear oil has gained a good reputation. I, personally, don’t notice much of a difference on my skin, nails or hair. The oil is, however, non-greasy and substantial. 🌵The cost seems high, but I found that “the reason this oil is expensive is due to the fact that it takes a lot of tiny seeds to produce a very small amount of oil.” 🌵That said, I would say, if you can afford it then go for it! 🌵But … but … but … manufacturers withhold where this oil is sourced. That’s vital information and because it’s withheld, it feels like there’s something prickly about this kind of business practice. That said, I was already to give the product three stars, but then found that Tropical Holistic is a family owned and online operated holistic health store that is located in the beautiful Poconos of Northeast Pennsylvania. 🌵 Yippee! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Expensive But Nice Oil for Skin
I have used prickly pear oil in the past and liked the results. This particular brand offers a good quality oil. It absorbs well into the skin and doesn't leave an oily feel. For me, it has evened out my skin tone and does a great job of moisturizing. This particular brand is expensive but the company is well known, selling numerous products on Amazon, all with very good reviews. It does not contain a FDA label certifying it is organic but at this point I'm not sure if gov agencies can be trusted to do that job competently anyway. Very pleased with the results & highly recommend!

Skin & Nail Care
Organic Prickly Pear Cactus Seed Oil (Barbary Fig) 1 oz. by Tropical Holistic 100% Pure Virgin, Cold Pressed, All Natural Face, Dry Skin & Body Moisturizer and Damaged Hair TreatmentI ordered this for skin and nails. It is great for cuticles and I love using it on my problem skin areas. It goes on smooth, without pulling the skin and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. At the time I ordered this oil, it was a bit expensive at $35. Prickly Pear Cactus grows like weeds where I live, seems like this could be a lot less. Regardless, it is a very good oil.🤗 Thank you so much for taking the time to read this review, have a FANTASTIC day!!😊5★
