Update! Sound quality is ok, but not great any longer. Wires easily stretched out of the radio and I had to use tape to secure it,but no luck because the wire keeps coming out.I liked this radio at first, but it did not live up to my expectations. I have had this for less than a year, and I'm disappointed that it's no longer functioning the way it functioned when I first got it. However, to be fair,i did get some use out of it.

Very disappointed with this little radio. Love the size and weight (very small and light) and quite good reception. But I've thought many times that I should try to contact the manufacturer to see about returning it..... but never found the time. The instruction sheet seems to have been meant for another product, so I have still not been able to program it for favorite channels--or for correct time. But the most serious--and annoying--problem is that, even at the top volume, it is not strong enough to be heard if I'm doing any activity at all (gardening, sweeping, washing dishes, doing bookwork.... all the times when I most like having the radio with me..... and the reason for wanting a small, light model that I can carry in a pocket). Maybe I'll get around to trying to return it, but I know that will entail a lot of time and require more patience than I have. Sigh.

Its a great radio, great design, feels like a quality product but the volume output is too low. It could be that getting a lot of sound from a tiny package is near impossible anyway. The sound is very usable in a reasonably quiet room, so its not that you cant hear it. Its just much lower in volume that Im used to hearing from a pocket radio. But its ideal for something to slip in your pocket to use with earphones which was my original intention so Im extremely pleased with the purchase for my purposes. For those that plan to listen to it while banging around in the kitchen while fixing dinner may find it hard to hear without using earbuds.

I didn't really expect much, considering what I paid, but I have been very impressed.The sound is great (need to use the headphones, not the speaker) and FM is in stereo. Not sure how good the AM is and don't care.The alarm feature took awhile to figure out, but once I did, it works very well. (I should note that there are features of the radio -- including turning it on so you can be awakened by music instead of a beeping noise-- that I haven't yet understoodThis is because the directions are laughably bad, obviously written by someone in China who thought they knew enough English to get it right, but clearly didn't. And I suspect the co-workers knew even less English, so no one could tell the difference.Meanwhile, I've ordered out for Chinese food so I can learn Mandarin.Great radio nevertheless

This AM FM radio is a great little portable radio. Perfect for hiking and camping when signals available. Great AM and FM reception. Fits neatly in my backpack pouch. I only listen for short periods, and am still on the original set of batteries. Happy with it!

Control Buttons stopped working within a week! I couldn't turn the radio off, adjust volume, or change stations. I have to take out the batteries to turn it off. When I put them back in, I was unable to turn the radio on. I had this for a week. Total waste of money.

I'm getting ready to return this radio. The quality of the sound is very good, and it pulls in many more stations. However, even though there is a upand down button for channel changing, you can only go down - so if you miss your preferred station number, you have to go through the wholething list of numbers again. Also, every so often, it just turns off. When I hit the on button again, it goes right back on, but it's irritating.

I was initially impressed with the reception and sound of this small pocket radio when I received it on February 15. However, my view has drastically changed as of today, February 19, because the radio totally stopped working! I had it on for a few hours and then suddenly it went dead. I will now stick with more reliable brands such as Panasonic and Sony when purchasing portable radios.
