While it worked, we loved it, here's my original review, from May, 2012:Considering the price, the sound this puts out is fantastic. I also bought the 2 speaker set (IHM78) to try. This latter set, although containing 2 speakers, puts out less sound, noticeably less bass, and has too much treble/mid range. Moreover, the fact that the IHM78 speakers are connected via ~2 foot long cord limits the spatial impact of having 2 speakers. The IHM60 on the other hand, despite being a single speaker, packs much more of a punch-- especially in the lower register. A fun tool for summer and highly recommended.And the revised bit:It stopped charging/working completely in March 2013, so we got a total of 10 months out of it. In that time it worked well, and we used it for about 3 days a week at about 6 hours/day. Customer service was much pretty useless for Canadians, we'd need to ship it back at our expense, and include a $10 money order in US funds to get it looked at and returned by their techs in Texas. The overall cost is probably more than buying a new one. If I'd checked that the warranty was 3 just months when I bought it, I would have gone with another brand in the first place.

I bought two of these over two years. Both units had the same issues; the cords. The strength of the cords is weak so they eventually detach from the female/male connectors (through everyday use of). I have yet to find a cord replacement, meaning the ihome speaker becomes useless.Additionally:The cords are too long and make a jumbled mess.There is a blue light on the base that glows like the sun at all times. It is very bright and annoying and needs to be covered by multiple pieces of duct tape.

Can't get enough volume. My phone speaker is almost as good (though it does have a little bit more volume and a fuller sound). But it failed as far as what I bought it for-- being able to hear my phone better in a small group setting (like five people).

For the price, this is a good little speaker. I use it to amplify the sound of my iPad and it really makes a difference. This product is for those who don't want too spend much, but still want a decent little system to get more sound flowing while they listen to music or watch movies from machines that don't have good speakers.

Daisy chained for better sound, but they are not stereo.
