It's a great little camera and not too fiddly to install.
I got this dashcam for the wife at xmas, came in an nice box and instructions were easy to follow etc. I went for the NextBase wiring kit as well as I wanted to do a proper job and not run it through the ciggy lighter, this was also very easy and clear to install, well done as usual NEXTBASE woop woop.Pro's : Easy install and set up once you install the phone app etc. The only advise is make sure you warm your car up before installation and use an air vent on HOT to warm up the sticky pad, as I was installing at near 0c and the pad wound not stick to the screen at first till I heated everything up, but once it stuck that was it, it's not budging so be VERY precise when setting the position of the camera!!!Con's : Can be a little "sensitive" in default settings, but I'd rather have a twitchy camera than one that doesn't record the accident at all. The only thing that maybe lets this one down a little is there is no way to adjust left to right, so if you do manage to get the mount skewed during installation, you won't be able to get it centre lined unless you try to remount it. Advise: Get it right first time!!!Overall : An awesome little camera, got some nice sounds from it that doesn't scare the crap out of you but lets you know it's doing something.

Video quality
The camera is of a good built quality and is very well hidden behind the rear view mirror. Easy to install and connect to your phone via WiFi. The night video captured is also good and clear. The parking mode works well using the hardwire option which is easy to install by yourself.

Decent dash cam with some flaws
Hardwired this into my fuse box piggybacking off of the cigarette lighter fuse. Camera has no screen and is perfectly hidden behind the rear view mirror, you don’t even know it’s there when driving, as opposed to a dash cam with a screen, it can obstruct your view. The camera quality is very good, decent at night but obviously better in day time. You can sync the time to your phone and the DriveGuard app that you use to do this also allows you to view footage over by connecting to the built-in Wi-Fi. The only annoying thing is that the dash cam keeps loosing the date and time, it resets itself to January 2018 after every trip. Nextbase are aware of this they advised but can’t provide a resolution yet.

Unfortunately poor 😢
Only had a few days and think it will be going back!!Will not retain time date charged as advised (left it overnight) installed it in the car with the supplied accessory socket plug which us switched via ignition. Camera worked fine and recordings were of good quality once I managed to get them off the camera (see below). However once the car was left overnight parked up the time and date had reset to Jan 2018!!WiFi connection is at best poor if not non existant it connects fine when I turn it on and seems to be stable, however i can't watch or download video via WiFi, if I click to watch a recording the app freezes and dies, if I select a video to download it sits at 0 out of 100% for a few seconds then says WiFi connection lost, even though the WiFi is still connected. Only way to view / save is to remove SD card and plug directly into PC which come with its own issues as the camera won't always recognise it when I plug it back in and I then have to re format the SD.

Compact, easy-to-use and discrete
I bought this for my Ford Fiesta a couple of years ago. Along with a hardwire kit, it was extremely easy to install, setup and use. In fact it was so discrete that my partner then asked me to setup the same thing in her Ford Focus. The camera has integrated WiFi for easy access and configuration, allows viewing live and downloading of recordings on demand, and also allows full control of the device without ever having to remove it from the car itself.

Great quality cam!
This is my second purchase of the same dash cam.Works perfectly long as you have the correct micro SD card.Just a shame they supply with a usb to plus directly into the fuse box.Overall happy customer.

connectivity issues with phone app.
it has numerous issues connecting with the phone app.. time and date are always out of sync.. getting the video uploaded from the camera is like impossible unless you take sd card out and use in laptop

(Update) Not keeping date and time
It would be great product for the price if not the software bug that resets date to 01 01 2018 every time it turns off (when you leave car). Contacted the support and they are working on a fix. Until it will arrive, one star.Update: it's Feb 21 and the Nextbase released the software update. It took some time, but to publish update after few years after the product release is a rare feat! Thx Nextbase!-1 star for sluggish video download.

Simple and works fine
The media could not be loaded. I do have the 622 and this one is the more basic model they offer but if is as reliable as the one I own, this will be dependable and that is priceless. You cannot read license plates on night if the road is dark.

No manual or US website support earns this dash cam one star
I cannot even start telling you how much time I have wasted trying to fully figure out this dashcam. I won't get into all of the details, but here are the problems:1) The dash cam comes with no manual. Instead just a card with a QR code to download the app. If the app had a full manual, then maybe that would be acceptable, but it doesn't.2) This model 300w is not listed under the support section for the US Nextbase support site. I did find the model doing a search, but it was just a marketing page with no links for support for this model in the US3) I finally did find a manual for this model 300w UK site. It did answer some of my questions, but I am still having issues with the deviceAt this point I have spent hours trying to get this dashcam to work properly. If they would have provided a manual out the box or proper support at their US site, it would have saved me a lot of time and effort. At this point I have wasted enough time with this dashcam, and I don't want to waste any more time with it trying to figure out the last little pieces to get it to work properly.Let me just save you the trouble and headaches. Forget this dashcam. Go with a company that isn't cheap enough not to provide you with a manual out of box or at the very least, proper support at their website.Other things wrong with the dashcam:1) Date and time does not save after power cycling. I actually fixed this problem after a firmware update, but it took digging through the UK site to find the firmware, and it had no instructions how to apply. I had to then dig for the instructions, which again I found at the UK site.2) Only option is to stick the dashcam using the stick on from the cam. No suction cup option? No velcro option? How about if I want to use this on multiple cars?3) It didn't recognize half the memory cards I put into it, including really high end ones. Going into the app the format card option was greyed out so I couldn't format the card to whatever format it wanted. After finally finding the manually, I finally discovered you could format card by holding one of the buttons, but after doing so the dashcam recognized the card, but the card would not mount on my Windows PC to see the videos.4) Waiting for the cam's Wi-Fi to show up initially so you can use the app with it takes forever. Additionally, it seems to show two different Wi-Fi networks, so you don't know which one to pick, and the provided password doesn't work on one of those networks. I finally fixed this somewhat by telling the app to leave Wi-Fi on, that is once I was FINALLY able to connect to its Wi-Fi.5) It only comes with a cigarette lighter power cable, which uses up the one precious cigarette lighter port on most cars. Maybe it works with multi-port cigarette lighter adapters and a normal USB cable, but who knows. No manual and no US support site so nowhere to look up answers to questions like this.I could go on and on with all of the problems I had with this dashcam, but this is just a small sample. I am very technical so I hate to see how a non-technical person would make out using this dashcam. I never even got to the point where I could try to use it in the car and see how the video quality was, but at this point I have given up on the dashcam.Save your time, your money, and your nerves and go with some other dashcam. I have spent over a month trying to get this dashcam to work. If I could give this negative stars I would.
