Michelangelo: 1475-1564: Universal Genius of the Renaissance

If you have a person in your life that loves art or you are that person, then this is for you these not only would look so cute in your home as decor but they are beautiful inside to look at and learn from. I have gotten this for my son as a gift and I am sure that he will love it. These would definitely make a wonderful Christmas gift for someone. These are the books are not too bad on the price as well.

I first saw Michelangelo's 'Pieta' at the World's Fair in New York when I was a youngster. It left quite an impression on me. I'm presently reading Irving Stone's 'Lust for Life'; I wanted to be able to see both his paintings and sculptures while I read about them, and also what he went through to create his art.Many thanks!Bill

The books cover is white 😐 I’ve got the frida Kaho too , I love fridas more than Michelangelo one because of the cover ! It worth to have . I will buy other artists book from this series too .

An enjoyable read. I would recommend reading Botticelli first and then this one. Nice quality books.

There’s almost negligible coverage of anything other than Sistine chapel in this book. The title should be changed, if you are interested in Sistine chapel alone, this is the book for you

西洋美術は少年のときから好きでミケランジェロはもちろん知っていて、まとめて研究したいと思っていたが実現しなかった。短大や私大の非常勤講師として、おこがましくも西洋美術史を講義したこともあったがミケランジェロについては概説的に知っているだけだった。　72,3才になって余裕ができて、この本を精読して初めて巨匠の偉大さに感嘆した。印刷、画面構成、解説文も非常に優れている。そしてなによりも1300円程度という価格は日本では考えられないものではないか。　そして、このような欧米諸国の成果を手にするためにも英語（それに独語を日本語同様に使う必要を痛感した。年齢を問わず有為な人々にそのことを心からお勧めする。
