Fortunately, the customer service folks know how to "purge" ...
This device works well with our 220 baseboard heaters. A standard WiFi thermostat won't work as the 12 gauge wiring and 220v configuration is incompatible with the consumer models. I had an Electrician install the devices and I configured the WiFi. Some instructions are left out of the manual that would be helpful, specifically, how to reset the WiFi settings. This is necessary if you have multiple devices and you need to start over with your setup. Fortunately, the customer service folks know how to "purge" the device settings, and more importantly, they are open on Sundays. IMPORTANT - if you want to control this device via the Internet portal, you must purchase the Honeywell THM6000R1002 Red Link Enabled Router.

Can't shut it OFF, or set below 41 degrees
I bought this system to allow me to control two large baseboard heaters in my cabin in northern Minnesota. I don't heat the cabin in the wintertime. I expected to be able to turn the heat OFF using the thermostat, however Honeywell won't allow that to happen for fear of someone freezing their home unintentionally (that's what they told me).I had intended to purchase the RedLink interface to allow me to remotely control the stat so I could arrive at a warm cabin when it's cold up there. However, since there is no OFF setting, I can't do that. 41 degrees is the lowest setting I can attain, which means it would run all winter. Now my only option is to purchase a ZWave relay and have an electrician install it to allow me to shut off the 220v power remotely, which is likely to cost $170 for the relay, $90 for a ZWave hub, and $200 to have an electrician install it.This is a log home so I really did appreciate not having to run 220v voltage wiring on the log walls to a line voltage thermostat. The wireless thermostat function works great and the thermostat control is silent. But for my intended application, it stinks that I can't turn the stat OFF. You won't find any documentation that says what the stat can't do (OFF).
