It is shocking that some would give this one star because of the cinch. Yes, the cinch is different from what you are used to, but the instructions are clear with photos . I guess those reviewers cannot read or work for the competition.In case you're curious, I have attached photos of how to cinch, step by step in slow motion. It is likely bigger than you need, but that is ok. As for staying on, it can't get past the faucet's spout and handle, which are bigger than the base or stem on to which it is cinched.PS: you might want to let the cinch hang downwards instead of on top as in my photos

EASY to install and use! Much better quality than the cheapy foam boxes! These are exactly what I needed for my exterior faucets. It’s a sleek design and looks great too. Very recommended.

Cover is thick, heavy duty and priced right. I used it to slide over a faucet digital water timer on a drip irrigation system. In hot climates, expect it to keep the timer cooler in the direct Texas heat.Please read the instructions before posting a review stating the hold down string does not work. Works fine if it is looped around the sock before pulling tight.

This thing does what it claims. The one star reviews are mostly people who don't understand how it works. In order to get the drawstring to cinch you need to put the cover sock on the faucet with the drawstring hanging from the bottom, then loop the hole the drawsting makes back over the top of the faucet. Now cinch the drawstring. Done and done. (NOTE: The way it was designed the drawstring will not cinch from the bottom because of the seam, so looping it back through the sock to the top of the faucet is paramount in getting it to work.) See attached pics.As far as everything else -- Aesthetically, I prefer this to the styrofoam covers. It made it through winter just fine. No burst pipes. Five star purchase!

These have been on my want list for awhile. I finally got them and, in my opinion, they are way easier to put on than the Styrofoam bonnets and they will be around a lot longer too. They are constructed well and will last a long time if stored well. I love that they store flat so they will not be jumping off my shelves like previous ones that I have owned. It also fit over my timer on one fawcett so that I will not have to disassemble the entire affair. I consider them a good value and I am glad that I decided to purchase them, I would recommend them to anyone.

My biggest issue with this product is that the string which is suppose to tighten and fasten this to the Valve is non functional, it is only a fake string in the outter portion and does not wrap within the sock. I still decided to keep it and just tied the string around to keep it on tight.

I used to use the styrofoam covers but because my spigot is longer than usual, this cover is perfect and fits a lot better. Tightening it is extremely easy. Like others have stated, one star reviewers aren’t reading the incredibly simple directions included on package.

Was thinking I might need a sting to secure it after reading some reviews. After getting it I realized some people didn't know how to loop the drawstring over the bag to tighten it. Covers outside faucet with ease, will see how it handles the winter.
