GreenPanGlass Lid with Stainless Steel Handle, 20cm

Every Greenpan lid I have seen online has the Greenpan logo on the glass and sometime engraved in the handle. This has neither. The photo in the picture on Amazon apperars to of a Greenpan lid - if you zoom in you can just about make out the logo. To add to my suspicion that this is not genuine as the handle shape and bolts are clearly different from the photo of the genuine lid. Highly suspicious. Glass cookware needs to be safe as it can shatter. This really knocks my confidence in buying from Amazon. I'm off elsewhere.

I'm afraid I've had to return this. Nothing wrong with the lid, although the packaging was diabolical and I'm surprised it survived the journey, but it has a 'vent' hole. Not what I wanted and not in the picture. Another reviewer did receive the correct lid and like me, specifically wanted a covered glass lid. Maybe I was unlucky...

The quality is fine EXCEPT the handle is not heatproof. I’ve gone to life the lid to stir food in the pan and have had to drop the lid in a hurry as it had become far too hot. Surely it’s a prerequisite of frying pan lids that the handle is heat resistant? Not the case here.

I bought this to replace a pan lid I accidentally smashed. It fits a 32” shallow casserole pan perfectly and I am delighted as it was proving difficult to find a replacement casserole or lid.

Having dropped and shattered the lid from my wife’s favourite steamer, this replacement saved me from a serious spell in the dog-house. At least as good as the original. Self and wife both very happy.
