22420 Straight Through 3-1/2 Inch Universal Exhaust Muffler | 304 Stainless Steel | 3.5 Inch Inner Diameter Inlet/Outlet

I have a custom stainless 3" turbo-back exhaust system with a sports cat, high-flow back-box and no mid-box. The resulting volume was somewhere between annoying-for-the-neighbours-at-7am and waking-the-dead. The 14-inch body 3 inch ID, 5 inch OD muffler brought it down to the bottom end of that spectrum and added a subtle bass rumble to the exhaust note - exactly what I was after.I was a little worried it would make it too quiet, but I needn't have worried. Don't expect miracles, it's not that long, has no internal baffles, nor does it have that much space to put insulation in. But it does a decent job, and being straight-through doesn't sap power like many models. It will need welding in (so professional installation in my case).

Just as advertised

I installed this on my 2006 Cobalt SS/SC and let me tell you, the tone is beyond perfect. No droning when you're keeping a steady engine RPM however once you get on it, it sure starts getting noisy. The noise in the cabin is very little and the rumbles, pops and bangs you get make this thing almost immediately worth the money.

It's sounds great and good for small space no more big bulky muffler either.

Perfect fit and excellent tone on my 2012 Chevy 2500 HD with a 6.0 Vortec.
