PTC PacificTrading Collection A 10 Inch Replica of Michelangelo's Masterpiece of David

The perfect male body, in a figurine, of the smallest size I could find, and right near the 10" height stated. At first I was reluctant to get it with resin white material, but was pleasantly surprised at how solid it is, with a fair amount of weight, too. The detail and smoothness of it is perfect, and way better than I expected at the price offered. The white resin is attractive by itself, but I wanted a bronze appearance, so I bought gold spray paint at a hobby shop, and applied several light coats, finishing with a light clear coat. It's even more attractive now. Most of all I was very pleased with its size, weight, detail in so small a size, and mostly impressed with the smoothness over the entire resin made statuette. A very worthwhile buy.

Better than expected, very well made, feels like marble, the detail is great, it is one handsome statue. I love its body, the rear end, his legs and feet, his pose and stare, it is a sexy and charming piece. I love it and recommend it, for those who have the eye for male beauty and a spark for the male body.

Great detail and style. Perfect size for display in any decoration.

It is beautiful and a nice size, but it leans a bit too much to one side, make sure no kids run around it, it could fall over and break.

I've visited Florence and have seen the actual statue of David several times. I wanted a souvenir / miniature version of the statue to display in my house. So I ordered this mini replica David statue and was very happy with it. With one major caveat...The statue leans noticeably towards the statue's left / David's front side. I can tell you the real statue does not lean to the side like that. The replica statue leans so much that it barely stands up without tipping over. It looks like the pedestal is manufactured incorrectly with a noticeable slant to one side. I'd say it obviously has a minor design or manufacturing defect...I thought I received a defective item, so I ordered a replacement from Amazon. Amazon, being wonderful, sent the replacement David statue within a few days. But, the second statue I received leans to the side in exactly the same way. I ended up putting a couple little rubber feet under one side of the pedestal to keep it from tipping over. Btw, these feet do not come with the statue. I just happen to have them on hand... Not ideal, but it works.David now stands upright the way he should... Not leaning to the side as if he's drunk... LolThis item would be a five-star item had it not been for the issues with the pedestal.Ps, I'm including a couple pictures of the statue with the little rubber feet attached.

I was disappointed in the quality of the replica of David that I received. There were discolored places in areas of high detail, such as the hands and hair. There were rough areas on the upper leg that either didn't cast properly or were poorly sanded. Perhaps from a distance, these wouldn't be too noticeable, but where I intended to display this, it was unacceptably poor craftsmanship. I have returned it.
