There are a few things I was interested in when purchasing this bulb:1. Multi-color and white LED support. This is for an uplight in the front of our brick rowhome, and I wanted to be able to change the color to match seasons/holidays (eg purple for Halloween, red for Valentines, etc.)2. PAR38 water resistance. It stays outside 24/7.3. Suitable light output. I'd tried this type of bulb 2-3 years ago (a Cree branded product from Home Depot) and the light output was far too low on color settings4. Easy ability to change colors without having to touch a switch on the bulb. This bulb comes with a infrared remote that makes this easy.5. Long-term reliability. I've had this bulb for several months, it is operated nightly (through a smart switch), and has performed flawlessly.As far as control goes, I have a z-wave Smartthings system primarily, so I didn't want a Wi-Fi bulb that would require a separate app to use and control. The nature of this bulb (just an infrared remote) makes it perfect for my use case.The bulb produces beautiful light in every color. I appreciate the simple-to-use remote. Recommended.

I have had one of these spot lights for years, it ran 24 hours a day and it never gave me a problem. Now one of the colors burned out so I ordered and received it in good time. It is up and running and I hope to gets years out of this one also.

I purchased 3 of these light bulbs just before Halloween, thinking that I could use different colors for different holidays. The worked for Halloween but when I turned them on before Christmas, one of them exploded shooting the bulb 10' in the air and shattering on my walkway. Luckily I wasn't near enough to get hurt but it could have been different. Over the holiday season, the other two also stopped working. All had gotten water inside. I suspect that's what caused one to explode.These bulbs are very nice when working but are supposed to be designed for outdoor use. It is apparent that there is a manufacturing defect regarding the seals to keep out moisture. I purchased three and all three failed. I bought an additional 2 of the same kind of light from another company and neither of those failed.

Lights look great and it’s easy to use with the remote.

Biggest complaint is it only comes on 50% of the time. Sometimes flip on the light switch and it lights right up. Others it does nothing. When it does come on, it works like a charm. It's too unreliable so I'll be changing it back to my old light.

Great year-round uptight for the garden. Color-changing setting is my favorite. Can also be used as a 1-color spotlight. Would be perfect (5 stars) if it had a red and green holiday setting, but it doesn’t. Great value, and it has held up well in the elements.
