I actually bought this book for one of my sisters that are in a prison and she told me that the book was very great so I'm going to order the next two books of the series thank you so much and I can't wait to see what else type of things Amazon has for urban books.

This book starts hot and then moves fast. I thought the back story of her childhood would be long and depressing and borderline overwhelming. But it'd was short and to the point. Giving just enough details to get the point. Now I read reviews where people were upset about some of decisions that she made after her boyfriend's death but she was weak y'all! Weak and vulnerable ! She got a pass for the first the first mistake but the repeated mistakes, don't get a pass. No condoms were worn in any of the sex scenes. I read a sample for the sequel and I'm pretty assured we see one of the consequences of that but there can be so many more. Not preach but we got to start doing the right thing even in fiction. The book was great though. Like I said it moved fast do there weren't too many dull moments. It was realistic in a fictional way if that makes any sense. I look forward top part 2.

It was an alright read finished it in one day, but this is not first book I've read by Blake that had grammatical error,it was cool since I read how black folks talk. I'm from Charlotte-metro area and it grinds my nerves when this author let the misspelling of Beatties Ford Rd. continually, respect that rd home to the first HBCU in NC

This one was a page turner for sure! I really cant wait to see what happens in Part II !!

This book is about Brianna whom has had a very hard child hood growing up from an abusive step father to a push over of a mother who does nothing to protect her child. After making the decision to go to the mall she meets the man that will change her life. After becoming the girlfriend of "Trap Star" Trae, Brianna instantly starts living a very fairytale like life until tragically once night changes her fairytale life into a nightmare. Trae and Brianna are robbed at gun point where Trae's life is taken and Brianna's is spared. Brianna then has to decide what to do with her life in order to survive and maintain the life she has become accustomed to. After being summoned by Carlos Trae's connect who basically tells her since you were Trae's woman you have now inherited his debt to me in form of the drugs he got from me during our last meeting. After replaying everything that Trae has ever said to her and recalling memories from certain events with Trae, Brianna realizes that she isn't as green to the drug world as she or Trae thought & knows more about the drug game than she knew.This book was an cute read to me it was predictable to me also especially the moment when Charrise's boo wasn't trying to come to NC. I knew then exactly why also after giving the the background information on Hakeem and his best friend I also knew then what happen. I liked the ending and everyone got what they deserved in the end of book granted I feel like Brianna's payback to the man mainly responsible for Trae's death was weak. I felt like she should've went harder than that on the man that was responsible for the death of he man she loved so much. Also Brianna's trifling behavior with the man she got with after Trae died was just down right wrong and shady than a mutha f'er. But overall I say get the book it was worth the money and time it took to read the book to me. I won't be getting TS2 though because I felt the ending in one was fine and I'm not really interested in Brianna anymore lol. Anywho I hope this review aids you inyour decision of purchasing the book or not :0

Greed is a monster with no love for anyone. The way her mom let her stepfather treat her is just crazy and then the way her love was taking away. All because of money. I love how she's handling things. Let's see what the next book has to offer.
