518x Top Grain Leather Hori Hori, Corona, Felco, Holster Sheath

I don't often leave reviews, but this holster is worth it. I looked at a lot of styles, because I was concerned that my hori wouldn't fit. But it fits neatly, is easy to pull out and put in, and I am confident from the simplicity of the design and the way it is made that it will last. AND, unlike so much on Amazon these days, it's made in America, not another piece of junk from You Know Where.

Pros:Thick, study, quality leather.Stainless steel belt clip for easy on/easy off convenience.Stitching combined w/rivets ensure durability and long service life w/proper care.Cons:No strap to secure tool.I've recently taken up the hobby of metal detecting as a way to get myself out of the house to do more than garage and yard work. I needed a holster/sheath to carry the Zenport K245 ZenBori Soil Knife I use to retrieve my finds. I wanted the holster/sheath to be durable and, easy to put on/take off, so I don’t have to waste a lot of time gearing up.The Kanroot, 518x Top Grain Leather Hori Hori, Corona, Felco, Holster Sheath fit the bill perfectly.Made of solid, sturdy leather with both thick stitching and rivets to hold it together. A stainless steel belt clip that makes putting the holster/sheath on and taking it back off as easy as 1 and 2 (so easy, there’s no 3 needed). I couldn't ask for a better product at a better price to fit my need.A note about the “Con”.While it’s clear, based on the manufacturer’s photos, there is no strap or similar method for retaining a tool placed in this holster/sheath. Nor, does the manufacturer state or imply any such strap or device exists. I believe such a strap/device would be a nice feature so, I felt it worth mentioning as a “con”.I solved the problem for myself by simply looping a rubber O-ring onto the belt clip to add a barrier retention method for my soil knife, to backup the friction retention provided by the leather and snug fit. You could just as easily slip a Velcro strap under the clip and/or through the slots where you would normally feed your belt.As the above mentioned was not a listed or advertised feature to begin with, I did not consider it when deciding on the star rating of this product. My rating is based solely on the product as offered in its original form from the manufacturer.

purchased a couple of weeks ago to hold my Hori Hori knife i use for metal detecting and it fit's perfect...the leather is very thick this is no cheap thin leather this thing was built to last... the two pieces of leather are sewn together and riveted all around the edge this sheath will last for a very long time...i wanted mine to be a little darker than the natural color so when i received it i immediately darkened the leather with some oil and leather conditioner and now it is a nice dark brown, this not only looks good but it does the job very well. I was out on a hunt last week for about six hour's at the beach and a local park while raining the whole time and i never had a issue with this sheath...it has 2 ways to secure it to your belt there is a metal clip attached to the sheath so you can hang it on your belt or pouch and there is a place for a 2 inch belt to slide thru if you wish to attach it directly to your belt. even though the knife is very secure and is held in place very tight i added a elastic loop to the top of the sheath that i slip over the handle of the knife to make double sure it won't fall out....so in other words do your self a favor and get one ! I know i'm glad i got mine !

This fits my hori hori knife perfectly. I was tired of trying to wear it between belt loops. This is easy on, easy off. It’s nice leather that will wear well. My husband saw me putting it in the other day and said, now that’s a knife (Crocodile Dundee reference).

I don't wear it on my belt, though it is good for that. I use it as a pocket liner for tools as I'm doing chores in house/garden works great for various screwdrivers, wrenches, shears etc.

Great product. Will likely last for years. Happy with the price. Fits my barebones classic hori hori.

After painstaking research I found a review on here that said it fitted my new Hori Hori and just received it today and it fits like a glove. Fully recommend the make well made and sturdy and totally fits the Barebones hori hori classic...
