Excellent value
The reviews are accurate. This is a simple muti purpose hunting knife . The steel is comparable to 440c. Known for durability. Blade design is good for skinning, bushcraft or camp duty. The handle is G10 and fits comfortable with extra length. Mas.along is not well known but their products are designed for field use. Not Marketing. A high performance tool at a fair price. Knife clicks snugly into kydex sheath.

Extremely high value & great design!
I am a pretty dedicated knife collector. I have straight fixed-knives made by ESEE, Buck, TOPS, OKC, CRKT, SpyderCO, SOG, Benchmade, etc. Hopefully my experience will help me create a review here for folks who have slightly less knowledge & are still "on the fence."Review:When you are buying a big belt knife like this, you want to make sure it's "full tang." This means that you can see the steel running from one end to the other, meaning that it is all one chunk of steel like a railroad spike or a metal baseball bat. This knife is full tang... That means that it has very high structural integrity and it will not break on you except in very extreme circumstances (like getting run over by a tank, or being thrown full force at the cement.)This knife features a handful of positive attributes at a surprisingly reasonable price.Full Tang, made from one very wide chunk of steel, comes very sharp, comfortable fiberglass/composite handle, easy to retain during plunging/thrusting (tactical applications) because of the thumb jimping and hilt that stops your index finger from sliding up on the blade. The sheath and belt attachment are very well made and are the same ones you will find on American brands like CRKT or Cold Steel.Although the sheath is very sturdy and will definitely stay connected to your belt, it is very easy to remove when you need to. There is one big button on the bottom inside, and if you firmly press this button using your index finger you can open the sheath clip and remove it from your belt quickly.... So no need to undo your belt or anything. This is a big sturdy knife and you can easily use it for applications like survival or bushcraft, and obviously you can also use it in a tactical application for self-defense.It's a great idea to take something like this camping, because the steel is thick enough that you can administer some spine wacks using a log or a hammer to help you split your firewood. The knife is great, and it is definitely underpriced in my opinion.Get one while you can before the price goes up!A+

I wasn't expecting a lot for the price point, but I'm impressed.
For the price point I really wasn't expecting much. I've been looking for this general style of camp knife for awhile, and just hadn't pulled the trigger on KA-BAR Becker BK2. I stumbled across this knife and it caught my eye. I can always use another knife around the ole homestead, so I took a shot.I'm rather impressed by this knife. It's hefty and has a nice weight and balance to it. I have small hands, and often find some hilts to be too fat or clunky for my liking. This one just kind of melds right into my hand. I think it would work just fine for someone with larger hands, too. Handle is well laid out. It's super sharp right out of the box and immediately became my go-to box opener. I haven't had a chance to use it around the house or hiking, etc., yet, but I expect this to be a good all round knife.Overall, I like the sheath, with a bit of a nitpick. I am not in love with the belt clip. It does have some adjustability, but I had to fiddle with it to make it fit my belt, which is not particularly wide. There are a couple of little nap in cross pieces inside what is essentially a clamp-type arrangement. By taking out one of the cross-pieces I was able to widen the belt attachment to fit. So, not a big deal, but I would have preferred some other type of attachment. Seems secure, though, so like I say, not a huge deal. Just not in love with that. It's a pretty hefty knife, so you could certainly baton some kindling and whatnot with it. But because of its weight, it doesn't ride on a Grip6 web belt very well. Going to want a fairly stiff belt to use with this. It's a pretty good sized knife. Can't speak to how well it will hold and take an edge, but the blade appears to be good quality, and I don't expect any surprises there. All in all a very nice knife at this price point. Worth a look if you are looking for a knife you can beat up and brutalize around the house, camp, etc.
