i looked through reviews to make sure i could get a safe product as easy as possible without the stress i guess i bought mine the same time everyone else did because i see all these bad reviews on the days before i received mine in the mail it does not work the container is all scratched up and it was used it had crusty white stuff at the top it was just gross i opened my package and within seconds i have put it back in the box for a return do not buy this unless you want to waste your money.

What beep? Not waterproof.
Package and description states "fast" "waterproof" "quick, takes 60 seconds." Instructions in package states "Attention this product is not waterproof" "please wash with plenty of water". Seems to work but cannot verify accuracy. Twelve repeat readings vary from 97.0 to 97.6. Measurement take 90 seconds to 3 minutes before it finally make a barely auditable beep and the F symbol stops flashing. There are not tip covers. I like the fact that it displays the last measurement when turned on but then it displays 98.6. Unless you have super hearing you will not hear the beep to notify of a stable measurement. Nice plastic storage case. Overpriced in my opinion. I'm returning it because it is not waterproof as advertised.

Terrible, do not buy, just disappointing
The metal tip just popped off whenever I tried to wipe off my saliva. I wasn’t even griping it very hard either. After it came off there was just a skinny red wire hanging out. It’s just disappointing. Also in the midst of a pandemic I just moved and needed a new thermometer and all the stores nearby were sold out, so reasonably I decided to check amazon for a thermometer. Many of the “no touch thermometers” were pretty pricey, or they took at least a month too arrive. So I decided to get a cheap, one day shipping, thermometer. I thought, what’s the worst that can happen from getting a cheap thermometer? Well it can be a totally useless piece of junk. I am worried that I may have a fever and I don’t even know if I can trust the thermometer, it’s reading about a degree difference each time after waiting a few minutes to read the temp, and at first was telling me that I was at 96 degrees!!! In short, it fell apart and is inaccurate, and I’ll probably never get a refund because of the 30 day return policy in a pandemic.

* absolute waste of money* product details on Amazon include pictures with the thermometer reading 98.6 F and the description states that it thermometer can be switched between F and C with it defaulting to F* arrived today and I immediately noticed the box and directions only indicating a C temperature* I immediately went to Amazon to double check because I swore I ordered one that had an output of F* sure enough, the description and pictures indicate temperature in F* I went to turn it on... it does not even turn on!

Do not buy
This thing is a piece of junk. Used it once, washed it, let it dry, then stored it in the plastic case. Tried to use it again later and it was dead. Thought maybe the battery was dead so I bought new batteries. Went to replace the battery and then I saw all the rust inside. When you wash this thermometer, it is not even water resistant. Nothing over the screen, nothing around the button, nothing to keep any moisture out of it. So germs will easily get inside it, plus any water used while washing it.So don't bother with this "medical" thermometer. It's only good for a single time use.
