The regulator supplied gives a great variation in the amount of heat you can apply. Turn it down, or crank it up!The burner itself is very solid and should last a lifetime. The hose is long enough to keep the propane bottle a safe distance from any burner.I typically use mine for a turkey cooker, and it heats the oil quickly, and maintains the temperature while cooking. All in all, I'm really happy with this purchase.

Use it to cook my potjie, the flame keeps going out.The first time I made it work and it was good, the second time for time during a 3- hour cook the flames ran up the hose to the propane tank. Something is dangerously malfunctioning.I sat out there and watched it while it cooked as the firat time it happened I caught it purely my chance in time enough to turn of the propane. Will be looking for an alternative solution as this one is clearly not working.

You have to make a frame for this burner which was an interesting DIY exercise. I used a zinc plated metallic sheet with an angle grinder cutting blade and some nuts and bolts. The burner, regulator and hose appear to be of good quality. I called the customer service to clarify something. The response was excellent

Used it to replace the burner in my Masterbuilt smoker. A little big but with a bit of fine tuning, it holds temps down to 150. 2 thumbs up.
