Q: Will it work with a 80 v kobalt

It will work with the older line of kobalt 80 volt tri,,ersan because they were attachment capable and the motor was between the back end and the break for attachments. The newer ones it will not work with as the motor is in the trimmer end. It has a place where they attach but there is no shaft going down the tube, just the wires

Q: What comes in the box? Does it have the extra extension?

No extra extension, length comes as pictured; chain bar & chain are not installed, 5 min or less exercise. Has a nice place chain bar cover, not shown. Solid notched angle adjustment that clicks in place.

Q: Will it attach to a sthil weed trimmer ?

It should. I have used it on a Weed Eater and a Murray weed eater
