I full time camp in my large SUV. This is my second mini swamp cooler...this one is better because the water doesn't leak onto the electronics.With just water it's ok, with ice it's a lot better for as long as it lasts. Now that I have a fridge, I'm going to try using freezer packs in it.

This is like a work desktop personal air cooler. It might also be good for a bedroom at night. It is a one person fan because it's got 4" w x 8" l fan surface. It's about the size of a large, tall (11 in.), insulated 64 oz. thermos. Good, nonobtrusive desk size.As a cooling fan using water, it does a good job for about 4.5 hours on the low setting. I'm guessing bowl holds 8 oz./cup of water. After the water in the water bowl runs out, it stays running as a fan. There is a strong ozone smell after the water runs out and no manual adjustment is available to remove it. It automatically adjusts to a fan only setting, but retains the ozone smell.All in all, I think this was a good purchase for my needs. I don't need to be frozen at all times by some large cooling system most of the summer, I can cool off well at my home desk with just this little cooling fan and an air blower fan. For those five weeks of the summer when the temp is over 100 in an arid environment, it's really good for additional cooling along with the large cooling system running. When the temp in the house is in the 70s and low 80s, all I need is this fan at my desk to keep cool.

Works perfect as a bedside fan, adding water does bring a cooler breeze, not enough to cool a room but perfect within a 3 foot radius.

It works for a smaller area and I'm sure it would be great if being used for personal space not for what I needed, 10x12 room.

Dislikes - doesn't perform as expected

This is a decent fan. The noise level is fairly low (Speed 3 is a little too noisy if you work or use in an office setting). I would say that the reviews however led me on a little and I think I expected more than I should have from this fan. From a quality perspective, it seems well built. Has nice tone sounded buttons. The water tank is tough to get unscrewed from the tank. Which helps add comfort from a leak perspective, however my wife and daughter struggle to get it off.My biggest complaint is that it just doesn’t blow cool enough and leaves a watery mess under the fan. The condensation just fall on the desk due to it running down the plastic facing etc. I have to keep a plate or something under it or eventually it will damage wood placings that you might set it on.

Very happy with this compact and amazing machine.- our central air zones are completely off.So my daughters bedroom gets unbearable At night..although reviews seem mixed, with Low expectations I decided to give it a shot anyway.Very happy I did.. it is not your typical air conditioner by any means but it provides just enough of a level of comfort to allow her to sleep without tossing and turning all night in sweat.it’s nice looking like, colors are fun and sits perfectly on the nightstand and keeps her small 100 sq ft bedroom bearable.Its quiet and easy to use, I figured it out without even having to read the instructions. One fill up lasts the night. We have also tried it with ice and this provides an even better experience.Definitely worth the price. highly recommended
