I've been trying different brands of outdoor hiking pants in preparation for an oversea trip. I want to pack light but I need SPF 50, quick drying, wicking clothes for where I'm going. This brand is my 2nd favorite, and it's almost identical to my 1st favorite. The waist on this is elastic in the back, and the front is a zip/button opening. It only has 4 pockets in front with no pocket in the back, but has two fake flaps. I personally think if you're not having pockets back there, just have flat material, no fake flaps to "look" like pockets. The zippered pockets are roomy so I can get by without the back one. The zipper tabs have a two tone look, no horrible, but some may not like that. There is a tie cord on the ankle and it also allows me to have a capri look without sliding down or feeling uncomfortable. I got the wine and it's a beautiful color. These will probably be the airplane ride pants, since the backside will be unhindered. Lightweight, easy to pack, wash, dry on the go.I am 5' 6 1/2", weigh 148 lbs, 40" hips and 36" waist. The medium is a perfect fit and flattering. I tried several other brands in Large based on charts because of my waist size, but Larges were too baggy and didn't look flattering. The medium (my normal pant size usually) fit great, because all these hiking pants are flexible in the waist, and are still comfortable. I would base my choices on the hip's and length of the pants from now on to avoid returns. I do recommend these pants, especially if you get a sale day.

I love these pants! I work in a manufacturing facility that can get very hot, so obviously I get sweaty. These pants keep me from feeling sweaty, though; my other pants will always be a little damp and yucky feeling but these keep me feeling cool and dry. They fit really well and are flattering. I’ve had them over a month and wear them at least once a week, and they have been durable: no rips or tears or holes which happens easily in my work environment. I love all the zipper pockets because it keeps my stuff secure, and so far, zippers are still great! I’m 5’3, 120 lbs, and I bought a size 6 which fits me just about perfectly. I normally buy men’s ATG work pants and wear a 30-31 in those. They are expensive which sucks but I try to buy them on sale, but I think they are worth it.

These pants are fantastic: great zippered pockets (4) for everything from keys to cell phones with safety and convenience in mind; great fit; looks great; washes easily and quickly, especially when camping. I gave these pants a 4-star review because: (1) When sitting under the hot sun, like when in a car, the polyester pants heat up, making it very uncomfortable and painful. By covering it with a light fabric, the temperatures goes down; (2) When walking the yellow tags at the end of the zippers bounce about, causing visual distraction since the yellow is so obvious. This can be annoying until you get used to something bouncing under your lower visual plane. I am still debating whether or not to get more of these pants in different colors.

I hike, walk, run errands, go the the doctor, or just hang around the house in them. Love them, the material and design are perfect.I think they run a little small. I usually wear a medium, 6-8, but I ordered a large because I like a looser fit. Turns out I am glad they fit perfect because a looser fit would pull down when I load up the pockets.

These pants may be more fashionable than other "hiking" pants, but the fabric is very thin and tear-able, and less breathable than other pants in the same price range. It's a shame, because if you order a size up, they fit great. The adjustable ankles are so handy, they high rise hits just rights, and the shade of green is both adorable and very useful for hot weather hiking. If these were made from a better fabric, they would be a keeper, but sadly I had to return them.

These pants are great. Light enough for hottest weather, great fit and pockets deep enough for phone, glasses and doggie bags! What more could you want?

I like the many zippered pockets and easy care, no wrinkle fabric these pants are made of.

I ordered a few different hiking pants and these are lightweight, comfortable and stylish. Highly recommend.

My grand daughter is a trecker and mountain climber, she asked for these pants to cover her legs (sharp edges going up those mountains sides). She was very very pleased with the quality, and the fabric is not too flimsy. The fit is perfect. It has pockets which is real important. We give it a 5***** for its quality, the price and the look.

Really comfortable and lightweight walking trousers. Great for summer walking. Only negative is elastic and the bottom of the leg. Forms a loop when tightened that can easily catch if not tucked in and in this pair snapped after a few wears.
