Baumgartens Inkless Fingerprint Pad with Adhesive BLACK (38010)

My line of work requires lots thumb prints. I've used other brands before and this one is the worst I've encountered compared to the LEE ink pad and the 2" ink pads. Both the Lee ink pad and the 2" in pads are good. The problem with the Lee ink pad is the hard plastic that broke off easily and dries up. The 2" in pad that I purchased at the local stamp company and online worked wonder! Baumgartens ink pads are no where near the quality of the 2" ink pads. So, I do't understand why it had such good reviews. Maybe, i have a defective one. But, this is not an electronic device, It's just simply ink and the ink pad. How can anything possibly go wrong in the making of this product?Prints: The impression on the paper is really light gray color and difficult to see. That's why you can get a thousand impressions, I guess. I have really defined fingerprints and could hardly see the impression on the white sheet of paper even after I press down hard and left my thumb for 3 seconds on the ink pad. I can imaging what kind of struggle I must take when taking fingerprints for elder people, kids, and people with less defined fingerprints.

This Product arrived late. By then, I had to use a Office Depot ink pad for my baby's fingerprints that were required for a official document.In my opinion, this product is good for fingerprinting. It contains wax which does not cause blotting.

great. I made a card that I got from sherrifs office.I printed my 2 yr old and filled in questions I added a picture and update it yrly.one stays in his backpack the other copies r attached to each car seat. This way if he goes missing its all right there.day care has one too.

We bought this for my daughter's science fair project. It's small but it takes loads of prints. It's not messy--no stains and takes far superior prints than a regular ink pad. Would buy again if we need to do another project.

Its okay. we tried to do the fingerprints ourselves but it didnt work. Dont know if it was the pad or our unexpertise????

Great size

Bought this ink pad for my daughter's science project. I was originally sold on the product because it "wipes off skin." Little did I know this product also "creates grey smudges instead of legible finger prints on paper." Horrible product. Wasted $10! Don't waste your time or money like I wasted mine! Buyer beware. Get something else that actually works.
