4.75 stars. 1/4 star nicked because print is too small.
Let's get the con out of the way: print is too small for old eyes. Yes, I can use my reading glasses, but really, why do they print it too small in the first place? Just one font size higher would have been great. As for the content - 5 stars. You're not going to get a perfect fit by reading the book vis-a-vis going to a professional bike fitter who has a lot of experience. But when you do go, you will understand the hows and whys. Also, for many cyclists, there is no perfect fit (it will have micro changes day to day anyway). This book gets you well within the fit window, which, for most of us, is enough. It gives reasons why, and even shows the best angles for the fit window that you should be aspiring for.Great book, great explanations, and for the DIY bike fitter, really good. For those who read this book cover to cover and try to understand what Phil Burt is saying, you may not need to get a professional bike fit (unless you really have bad leg length discrepancies, or previous injuries that really need a professional opinion anyway).5 stars, minus 1/4 star because I would have paid for a bigger book with bigger fonts.

Very informative guide for Bike Fitters
Helps explain the why. Would have been 5 stars but the book had too many typos and incorrectly labeled images.

Awesome!
I’m a somewhat functional multi discipline rider, but I struggle from time to time with soreness after long days or intense race efforts. This book has a lot of good information in it that I’ve never heard explained by so called internet “experts” or YouTube influencers. The TT and Tri information was particularly helpful as was the section on indoor vs outdoor set up. Well worth the cost. I’m currently re-reading it and going to purchase the strength and conditioning book by the same author.

Muy bueno, de mucha ayuda
Excelente guia para saber lo que hace un Bike fiter y solucionar algunos problemas en casa, ya que no se tienen todas las herramientas de retul

Informative, gives guidance, but requires trial and error in application.
The authors discussed all topics that impact bike fit thoroughly. To translate this to you situation will require multiple weeks of adjustments:Setup you bike, then ride it. Make adjustments based on your ride, then ride it more.It took me about a month to get it right, but my bike now feels a lot better fitted, and I can ride longer without getting fatigued

2nd edition even better
I picked up the 1st edition and found it informative, 2nd edition is even better. What I like about it is Katie Kookaburra who is in it, well known female cycling climb specialist.

Updated
About 80% the same as the first edition. There are some useful updates and new sections on saddles, tt position, and indoor riding setup.

Insufficient detail and oversimplified approach in bikefitting
As a seasoned professional in the field of bikefitting, I anticipated valuable insights from the two books I recently acquired. Unfortunately, they failed to meet these expectations. The material in both books strikes me as overly basic and does not provide the in-depth analysis required for a thorough understanding of bike fitting. The books offer a rather rudimentary and shallow perspective on proper cycling posture, potentially leading to misconceptions and even discomfort or injury for cyclists who follow this advice.Bikefitting is inherently complex and demands a detailed medical approach, taking into account individual variations in anatomy, flexibility, and riding habits. These books do not deliver on this front, lacking the critical details and subtleties necessary for a precise and safe bike fitting. They do not provide the comprehensive explanations or specific instructions needed for an effective approach.I would advise against these books for professionals or dedicated enthusiasts seeking comprehensive knowledge and practical advice in bike fitting. Instead, I recommend searching for literature that thoroughly explores the intricacies and practical applications of bike fitting for a more accurate and beneficial resource
