Fun story, love that it's bilingual
As a Spanish learner also trying to expose my children to the language, I loved that I could read the English and Spanish on the same page. The story is amusing - an honest but poor old man finds money and his wise wife makes him look like a crazy old man to the people hunting for their lost money. She makes it "rain buñuelos" as part of her fooling him. In the end they are able to live happily with plenty of money because she fools the rich folks who lost the money. I think the story was more enjoyable for me than my kids but they liked it too. It might be better for kids a few years older (my oldest is 5 and a beginner in Spanish).

Great Spanish Learning Resource
This series is the first I have ever gotten that combines the Spanish and English on the same page and I'm a little torn about that. I think I find that for me, I tend to give into checking the English too soon, but if I can hold off and only peek when I need to, this is a great tool for learning Spanish. This story is an interesting little folktale that is different and quirky enough to keep my attention and have some twists for me. The vocabulary and verb tenses are varied well and a little challenging at times for us beginners. Great intermediate learner!

Great Bilingual book
This is a lovely children's bilingual book. It is a paperback book and well made. The pages are nice and thick and not easily tearable. The whole story is written in both english and spanish and each page has them side by side. It's great because you can easily compare the writing and be able to understand it both ways. It's a wonderful way to introduce another language not only for your child but for adults as well.
