Great addition to the farm! We have it planted by the bottom step of our deck for people to scrape the bulk of mud/poo from boots before coming up to scrape further on the wire/door mat. It's self-cleaned well by the rain, and has held up after several months of use. I saw a few reviewers complain about the birds breaking off, but I caught my 10 year old standing on the birds the other day, and they were fine...It's heavy duty and solidly made as far as I can tell. Plants far enough in the ground that it doesn't wobble when used. Opening is wide enough to fit even my husbands wider work boots. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again!

I've tried various boot scrapers at our farm. The brush type don't do an adequate job of removing the black clay type mud that cakes on our boots. I bought this initially because it was pretty but it turned out to be the best boot scraper we ever bought. It obviously scrapes the mud off the bottom of the boots but those little birdies aren't just decorative. When you scrape your boots against them, the mud comes off the sides and those little beaks get into the groove above the sole so most of the mud comes off with just scraping. It held up for years but understandably didn't stand up to being run over with the lawn mower...oops. So now I'm back purchasing another one.

The scraper is highly functional but looks great as well. I recommend it.

Does the job. I have had no issues with breakage and it's been over a year. The whole thing is thinner than I expected but it still works well. I would buy again - good value.Cute product and arrived promptly.

I bought this to take to a camping event where we always wind up with muddy boots. I was so happy to find something affordable and decorative. Imagine my dismay when we arrive, set up camp, and the first whack of the mallet- it broke in half! Total waste of money.

The shoe scraper is well-made of sturdy material. I hadn't realized that the design is visible from both sides, but that's an added bonus! I am very pleased with my purchase.

From what other reviewers said, I was expecting this to be tiny, so based on that assumption, I was pleasantly surprised to find a hefty scraper wide enough for all but wider work boots. It works as expected for us, and has not been wobbly during use even though it is planted in a relatively moist soil.

It's true, this item does need to be inserted far enough into the ground to keep it from turning if you're actually going to use it to clean your boots. But the decorative part is still above ground and visible. Just maybe not as visible as you would first think.

Sturdy. I have stony, shallow soil so easier to get into the ground with one prong not two. Just the job for wiping my boots after cleaning out the chickens!

As typical only just spotted that the item has cracked. Not sure how as it's only been in ground since end Feb. Used once. I think it will still work as I've missed the return deadline....

It was a birthday present for my brother. As you can see it is quite basic. He wanted a simple boot scraper and he is very happy with it. I think the birds and leaves look great!

Well built and sturdy. Was able to hammer it into our gravel driveway without any issues, bending or damage.
