Excellent single output DC power supply
Good solid power supply that is very cheap for what you get, voltage and current readouts seem fairly accurate. Although I wouldn't say I've put the power supply through its paces, it's been working like a charm for Me for the past week or so that I have had it. I have tested the current limit multiple times already (intentionally of course *cough cough*). The memories are a great feature and although there are only 4 memory buttons, there are 5 memorys, selecting M4 and turning the rotary encoder knob clockwise will select M5. In truth the fan may be a little noisy for some people (the misses moans when i set up at the kitchen table) but it really doesn't me in all honesty. It beeps whenever you press a button which can be turned off if you don't like it. I don't know what it's like in terms of reliability since I've only had it about a week but I can't fault it so far.

Nice Little Power Supply Unit.
I bought this Bench Power Supply Unit to replace an ancient Farnell unit to tidy up my bench. It's half the size and weight of the Farnell PSU and looks much better. Performance wise the Tenma is very good - Display accuracy is well within spec. - The output is clean enough without any overshoot on power-on. The unit is powered with a solid feeling mains switch, but unfortunately has a continuously running cooling fan. This fan speeds up depending on load - It's not too loud, but it can get a bit annoying. The output is enabled via a button, and a nice feature is that the default is OFF, so powering on the unit does not suddenly apply power to the terminals. Also switching between memories switches output OFF. The unit has 5 memories accessed by 4 buttons - the 5th memory is recalled by selecting memory 4 and turning the adjust knob - Odd.Adjustment is easy enough and can be done with output enabled or disabled. Unit is in constant voltage mode normally, but constant current can easily be set and is very accurate (within 2mA on my Fluke meter). Over voltage and over current protection are set from the front buttons. Front panel buttons can be locked/unlocked and the (really annoying) beep can thankfully be turned off.So, overall, the Tenma 72-10480 is excellent value for money - OK, it's not perfect and probably not up to professional lab standards, but for the home electronics experimenter or student it comes recommended.** 13th April 2017 **I have just bought another unit - Practically identical to my original PSU and just as good. Excellent value for money and still recommended.

Great value for money
This is a reasonably priced linear PSU, which feels well built and is (fairly) simple to use. It took me about a minute to set up and I've been testing its key functions thoroughly over the last few days (voltage & current control, OCP/OVP, memory etc.) Haven't looked at things like power-on overshoot yet, but I noticed that it automatically switches the output when power cycled, which is good. One minor inconvenience is that the output takes banana plugs only (not proper binding posts, so you can't clamp bare wire directly. Overall, I am very happy with it. It is quiet, simple to use, and does the job.

NO ACCESSORIES ?
While the power supply looks good that’s where it ends ….. it comes with a power lead but no accessories (should have read more of the reviews) so cant use it till I buy some leads ??? At this price they should be included…… the cheaper ones do…So a bit disappointed that I now have to buy leads no one sells them locally and on here another £13
