Looks like a good place to keep crickets!
I haven't been able to use my Kricket Keepers! They came before the crickets that seem to be lostin the mail.

See on top of the the black tubes, the two openings? On top of the openings there’s a little hole: ducktape the hell out of it or crickets will escape.Awesome product.

Crickets are thriving!
I have two spiderlings so I was keeping tiny pinhead crickets. At first I didn't put them in here but once I thought they were big enough I put them in with sawdust on the ground and an egg container cardboard. I covered most of the vents and holes just in case - but the crickets don't ever go up there! Since I've put them in there they have grown loads! However, I do let the crickets have one side of one of my spiderlings heat mats up the side of the keeper so that might have something to do with their longevity.I use the two pots to put banana (or whatever I have at hand) in every few days. And they have a little bottle cap with bark now which has water in it - I didn't put this in when they were tiny!Anyway functionally, I don't move the keeper apart from when I'm putting the fruit in. When I feed my spiders I pull out one of the black tubes and shake the crickets in there (usually between 3 and 6) into a tennis ball tube and then I push one out with a paintbrush into the spider enclosure. Afterwards the crickets will easily go back into the black tube or you can tip them back through the top hatch into their home. And that's it!So in summary, its really easy to feed your pet - no chasing crickets around. And the crickets do really well in there. I love watching them explore, eat and drink.
