After using the higher-rated rubs for years, I've finally decided to try this no-salt one, and had the opportunity when I made a cherry-wood smoked pork-belly last week. The naysayers seem to complain that it doesn't have enough salt, so let's just put a shaker on the table for them to douse our bbq with it and drown it with their sauce. I go to the other end of the spectrum, and want to taste the meat, fat, and smoke flavor that my pit imparts. The only thing I wish was better would be to find it in large quantities so I can save a bit when making my low and slow briskets. This was a fine amount for the porkbelly but when you go large, you need more.

I had to switch to a low salt diet. This meant an overhaul of what I was eating. I love smoked meats but the rubs are often super salty. I thought I'd give this a try as well as a few other salt free rubs.I've used this on pork roasts and pork chops cooked in the crockpot, smoked pork butts, smoked ribs, smoked chicken, etc. In my opinion this rub works better for smoked or grilled meats than meats cooked in the crockpot or oven.This rub definitely imparts some flavor on to the meat but it's a very mild flavor. I've gotten compliments on the flavor of my ribs using this rub. I've learned the salt free rubs in general don't give meats the same flavor "pop" that salty rubs do. I'm definitely missing the salty rubs but this rub overall works well and is my favorite of the salt free rubs I've tried.

Most Wonderful all natural ingredients seasoning mix for ribs...We love it !!!We couldn't taste the difference in this and the original seasoning with salt...Eat healthy and live long...

I used this on both poultry and 4th of July RIBS and it was delicious on all counts! I’m a veteran on a V.A. ordered salt restricted diet and this is the first product I’ve found that works fully in accordance with those requirements and makes the food taste great!
