SABRE Red Pepper Spray - Police Strength - Magnum 120 with F

I bought this stuff for protection against a vicious pit bull that regularly gets loose in the neighborhood and terrorizes walkers, bikers, and other pets (it has killed at least two other dogs in the neighborhood already). A couple weeks ago I narrowly escaped being mauled during an evening walk -- the only thing that saved me was a pick up truck parked in a nearby driveway that I hopped into just before the pit bull latched on to my leg. The local Sheriff's Department doesn't seem interested in doing anything about this vicious animal, so residents here must take matters into their own hands. I toyed with the idea of buying a small handgun (such as a Ruger) for self-defense, but I would fear being arrested for illegally discharging a firearm in this anti-gun community. So, I opted for this pepper spray instead. On the second evening walk after receiving it, the pit bull was loose and came at me. Fortunately, I had the pepper spray canister at the ready and unloaded a large amount directly into the dog's face at a distance of 8-10 feet. To my relief, it stopped him in his tracks and caused him to turn around and run the other way. This stuff really works well and is a good non-lethal alternative to a gun. Just make sure you thoroughly read the directions and practice spraying it a couple times before trying to use it on an attacking animal or human.

I practiced with this and accidently got myself in the eyes. It is very effective! My eyesight returned immediately upon rinsing with cold water. Definitely you should practice and have plenty of cold water ready in case you screw up! I am keeping this for use against unwelcome visitors at home (we've had issues in the neighborhood) and so I am keeping eye protection goggles near it.

I am 66 and my beloved American Bulldog is 13 and a cancer survivor. We were walking 30 yards down the street from my home and were attacked by 2 pit bulls. I did not have the product at the time and my poor dog was badly injured. The owner did nothing to reimburse me for the $400 emergency ambulatory vet bill due to puncture wounds to my dog. I purchased 2 of these and am 100% sure they will stop any dog in its tracks. I will never fear walking my street again which is my right and my dogs right to be safe

This product was a lot cheaper than they sell at the police store where I bought my other one. I haven’t had to us it yet (thank God) so I can’t say much more about it.

It’s hard to rate something I’ve never had to use but several good reviews and a reputable brand.
