I bought this lower wattage dryer because I have thick curly hair, and was frustrated with fried hair trying to get my roots dried. With first use, I worried it wouldn’t be hot enough to do the job, but though this dryer has less heat, it dries my hair and roots in the same amount of time as my last dryer. And since the heat is lower, my hair is soft and silky instead of over-dried. This dryer is kind of like those restroom hand dryers that rely on more blowing power than frying heat. It’s super lightweight, and doesn’t have that annoying heavy and bulky trip switch plug. Just a nice two prong regular plug. Very happy with my purchase.

If you're looking for a long power cord like I was and found this item, keep looking, the cord is a little under 6ft long. Not 9ft as advertised.
