My husband and I are on a constant mission to de-clutter our kitchen. I love to have fresh fruit out on the counter as a quick snack. Usually I just place the fruit in a glass bowl. This Bread Basket was a Christmas gift from my hubby, but I use it as a fruit basket. The design is clean. The basket holds a lot of fruit. The metal frame feels very sturdy, the fabric is thick and feels durable. The fabric insert is removable which makes for easy cleaning if needed. The color says "Taupe" but it's more of a grey. Personally I would not call the color Taupe. It's more of a grayish/brownish, but more on the grey side. Which was perfect for the color scheme in my kitchen. It looks very close to the color in the photo...at least it does on my computer. The basket can easily be used without the fabric insert and still work equally well as a fruit basket...but it looks so much better with the fabric. As a bread basket the fabric would be recommended, of course. When I have guests over for dinner, if we serve bread I will totally be using this as the bread basket it was intended to be.Our home is mostly neutral colors, browns and greys with metal accents and a bit of walnut wood. This Bread Basket coordinates wonderfully. It sits out on the counter at all times. Functional, and also a stylish accent for my kitchen.If I could have everything in my kitchen made by Blomus, I would. The Blomus style is the style I've always dreamed of, and I'm making it a reality one piece at at time.

I thought this bread/fruit basket looked nice online but it surpassed my expectations! It is very well made, the canvas liner appears to be more gray to me than the taupe indicated online but it looks lovely on my kitchen counter!
