Norse Tradesman Thor's Hammer Necklace - Solid Brass Mjolnir Pendant with Adjustable Genuine Leather Cord

This is an honest review, meaning that I am giving my honest opinions, both good and bad, but they are my own opinions and may vary from your own but I give them without any bias to the product or it's seller.With that said, I do like this Mjolnir Pendant. Make no mistake, this is not a piece of fine jewelry, but a piece that seems to be made more "period correct" and is left with a lot of "rough edges". In my opinion, it is these rough edges that give it a lot of character and make the piece seem a bit more "real" than many of the mass produced and more finely detailed pewter, zinc or "pot metal" hammer pendants that can be found on Amazon and other places online and in physical shops. The weight of this pendant alone puts it head and shoulders above most of the other pendants of this kind and while I am not positive brass was a common material to make a Mjolnir pendant in the days of the Viking raiders, it does look very good and it's weight gives it a more "serious" feel, if you take my meaning. But again, the edges are rough. There are obvious sanding or filing marks on the sides and the details of the original that made the mold are almost lost in some places. As others have said it is finished darker than the one in the pics, though the color does wear off a bit and could even be polished up to be bright brass if desired. In some ways I am a little on the fence about how I feel paying almost $25 for the pendant, but for the most part I am pleased and every time I heft it's weight I feel a little better about it. The leather cord is tanned dark and looks good with the pendant but it's a little on the thin side and while it comes with a nice sliding adjustment, I prefer just a knotted cord with no adjustment. Upon tying my knot I pulled the cord to seat the knot and snapped one end of the cord. Luckily enough was there to adjust the pendant down the line a bit and retie the knot and so far it has held, even with the extra weight of a few rune beads I added to the cord.To sum it up, I am very happy with this Mjolnir pendant. I could have been happier with a slightly lower cost, or maybe a little improvement on the details of the casting or the quality of the cord, but overall it is a nice piece that is rustic enough to look correct-ish, but durable and just rough enough to be worn every day and enjoyed without fear of it breaking or getting damaged.

A beautiful and strong tribute to Thor. This will last a lifetime, and be perfect to pass on to the next generation. Truly and heirloom piece that pagans can be proud of. The design is simple and timeless, and does not look mass produced. It has a nice weight to it and is the perfect size to wear for ritual or in daily life. I’m a woman and it is nice to have a pendant that isn’t a dainty piece of jewelry, or so big that it looks like part of a costume. The color is darker in person, don’t expect it to be gold or super shiny, it has a beautiful rich iron patina and the great texture you only find in something hand forged. Super tactile for long meditation and prayer. I’ve seen similar handmade hammers at festivals for five times the price! I’m glad I found this one, it’s just perfect.

I love this necklace! The brass pendant is a rough cast so it has some weight and it is more durable and looks better with age than a normal brass pendant will. I don’t like the pleather cord for it though, it felt really cheap at first and took a few swims in the pool and showers to get rid of the cheap look of the pleather cord. All in all I love the necklace and have not taken it off since I’ve received it. May the gods smile upon you, and may your horn never run empty!

Great Workmanship and feels nice.

This Mjolnir pendent was way better than expected! It is solid brass and is detailed on both sides, unlike many of the pendents sold where the back is hollowed out to make it cheaper to produce. It is also quite a bit larger than expected which i am quite happy with!The only things that where different from the add was that it is quite a bit darker than depicted and i think it has some sort of coating over it, but i read on other reviews that wears off in time to reveal the brass underneath. the 2nd thing that i actually didn't really care for was the adjustable leather necklace part. The leather depicted was different than the one sent, the one i received was thin and flat leather, and i almost do not trust it to hold up my awesome pendant! i wont take off any stars for this however because i was paying for the pendant and the strap was just an extra and can always be replaced, as well as the pendant is so awesome that it deserves 5 stars!Oh it also came in a neat little norse tradesman bag that for some reason i really enjoyed!

I've bought this twice now for my bf (helps lost the first one 😥). The first time it was perfect. The leather strap eventually broke, but was still nice initially. The hammer pendent was wonderfully crafted and painted.The second one however was a disappointment to say the least. The straps quality was awful, very flimsy and thin, not at all like the first one. Then the hammer pendent was just very dull and not very as nice as the first one. It sucks too because he absolutely loved the design of it when I got him the first one, but this one is just sad.

Good side is it heavy and well made, the down side is it came in with a made in India tag on it. I would have preferred it was MFG in America or Sweden. As other ratings have said the leather necklace is really cheap and won't stand up a lot of wear. The casting and sanding was done in such a way as to add some unique qualities that makes the hammer look really nice and very simple not like an ornament but something to wear daily.

I have had my Mjolnir for a while now and it just keeps getting better. It did start out darker than the pictures showed, however now that I have been wearing it every day for the past few months it is now a nice gold color. It is very sturdy and very nice. The leather strap that I have on it is the original, however it has started to get thin on one side so I may need to replace it soon. Overall I love this Mjolnir, I would definitely buy it again, and I would definitely recommend it.

You know you are wearing it. Nice comfortable weight. Proper Mjolnir. Great bit of kit.My girlfriend doesn't think it makes me 42% more attractive however, an the Honour bit is a bit of a dubious claim. All good though.

Made of solid brass and as a result is not light but is instead quite hefty! (but not too heavy). The pendant is quite nice and rustic with a nice leather strap. It originally came slightly sticky for whatever reason but it was removed with a slight wash with water using a cloth. Customer service was great and assisted with this problem. Considering the price this is a good item to buy as it seems like it'll last a life time!

It's a beautiful necklace, straight up. It's so uniquely simple and elegant, but you can feel the quality in it.

I was very pleased with the weight and quality, most of all the colour is much better than in the advertised picture, the item I received has more of an antique bronze look, better in my opinion than a gold shiny one!... looks more authentic =)

Great shape, authentic appearance, made from solid brass (I believe)… One star lost because the actual colour is much darker in appearance - imagine a brass fitting on a copper pipe - and because the cord has been “broken in” to a twisted shape from being in its bag. Easy to replace if desired. Not a big deal. Will recommend to friends.
