Enhanced mobility yet will upset Puritan-esque
For over 3 years, I've been swimming one mile a day almost everyday in pairs of conservative jammers. This is the very first low-rise brief I ever wear just in time for Spring. Arrived earlier than anticipated. Testing them shortly later for a good splashing hour. Here come what im seeing: My 31" waist, flat abs on a swimmer body fits great with an XL wearing dry. Smooth and comfy fabric feels nice under the water. The whole piece can be held neatly within my fist (jammers can't do that). The dark black plus 2" rise looks sportily strong, yet not much of hiphop revealing. Thus, passed my expectations up to that point. However, "Houston! i got a problem..." In the pool, while flying, half my butt exposed midway through the lane. When I hit the wall it's totally shown off. The pair is returnable in 4 weeks. However, I just made them work two hours ago!!! (Will test them again in few hours when sun sets) Poking holes with a little nail then guiding a red string through the waist line... Thanks goodness, enough room for maneuver...Now come the down sides. This brief appeared to be a Chinese-made high end product according to the sort of fancy ways, like labels, they were presented. Nonetheless, talking of sizes and product descriptions, the Chinese doing terribly terrible failing to follow well established sizing measurements, especially when they're selling stuffs to the US. Failing to follow basic business standards, they leave patronagers with wild guesses, like trials and errors while should not be in the first place, much hassel sending back and forth that no body wants.... I might update reviewing later...P.S. sharp, pointed finger nails, hang nails even dry rough skin can wreck havoc on this kind of nylon/spandex material if not handling gently.March 22 Update: "kiss my brain!!" The string works great. The brief now stays in place despite wild diving, full force strokes. One thing I didn't realize: the high leg openings free my thighs to amazing mobility, gliding more efficiently and gracefully under the water than those jammers. I'm glad trying this pair for once even though uncomfortable showing my bulge outlined. Furthermore, It's a stretch for sellers to claim these briefs suitable for swimming as color already fades after a third swim. Probably will order more from swimoutlet.com as their briefs are more appropriate, more durable for my water hobby. Hope this help...Also wanna high light this: ****Try to share a pic, but there has been an on-going issue, not yet fixed, with problem adding pic to Amazon review****

Excellent product!
One of the best briefs I have. It fits very well and it easily turns heads. Just know that all aren’t as accepting of nature. However, I’ll most likely buy more colors.

it couldn't really do this comfortably. Overall I felt like I wasted my money ...
This underwear is advertised to work as swimwear. Well I did not plan on that purpose particularly. All I needed it to do was work as an extra layer of swimwear underneath a larger swim brief. Because it was too loose, it couldn't really do this comfortably. Overall I felt like I wasted my money on this.

Swimsuit or brief
As is sometimes the case, what you see is not always what you get. Ex. Is it a swimsuit or is it a brief. If it's both, I would be afraid to wear it around the pool.

I bought a size up based on previous reviews, and it was a great fit.
