Pilot 0.5mm Juice Gel Ink Ballpoint Pen set of 5, Coffee Brown (LJU-10EF-CB)

Many Pilot rolling writer and gel pens are my go to pens, so the poor line quality of the Juice pens came as a huge surprise. This pen skips and is very hard to control. My handwriting looked awful. The Juice pens are totally unlike my favorite Pilot pens - the Precise V5's, Hi-Tec C's and G2's. I wish the Juice pens laid down high quality lines like my favorite pens because I totally love the deep brown ink, and this color isn't available as a single item in any of my favorite styles. The ink color is exactly what I was hoping for but I had to return the pens because as an artist, I need to be able to lay down smooth consistent lines and these pens did not deliver.

Honestly, I bought these pens for the refill, not the whole pen. I use the cartridge/refill in my favorite pen mechanism, a Big I Design titanium "Clickable Classic". The "coffee brown" ink in this pen, to the casual observer probably looks like a soft black, especially in low indoor light. But with a closer look, or in brighter lights, it is a deep rich brown, which I think is wonderful. The .5mm point is my favorite size, but I have trouble finding pens which don't either skip or feel a bit scratchy when I write quickly. I don't know what they do to formulate the ink for this pen, but it is never scratchy and it never skips, even when I'm scribbling notes at a very quick pace. It also dries very fast, so I've never had it smear. I'm a righty, so that makes my smear-less experience less helpful perhaps than from someone who writes lefty, but it is a very quick-dry gel. This has become my favorite writing instrument.

These are my favorite pens, they write smoothly, don't smear (especially for being left handed), a little thinner in the hand than I'd like, love the clip to pin to the front of notebooks, but my favorite part is the deep brown color that is almost a black at first glance.BUYER CAUTION:the 5 pack are a darker color coffee brown pen than the 10 pack!! Thought I'd save a little money with the 10 pack but it's a completely different pen with the same description!Be sure to buy the 5 pack if you want dark brown, the 10 pack is an orange color

I love fine point pens and I love using brown pens (any other color than blue or black can be to jarring for general use, but brown is classy). Pilot used to make them, but no more, so I was happy to find these. I've been using them for many years.

Pens ran out of ink after one use. Would not recommend.

These are my favorite pens ever. Love the brown ink; it stands out more than black, but has a cleaner appearance than blue ink. They write like butter, and are comfortable to hold. I write very small and these are perfect for that, as the tip is small enough to prevent lines from blurring together. Also, they don't bleed through paper.

My employer supplies me with perfectly good pens, but I buy my own because I like a pen that writes really nice. This pen does the job with excellence! I like the way you can write without using pressure on the pen. I have a hand problem and feel that these pens will make it easier to work without stressing my hand.
