This is a tiny item. The photographs seem to say this unit is much larger. Imagine a high-tech can of 2.5 ounce gelled alcohol fuel. The fact that there are two flame sources is not to be imagined being a volcano on the bench, but rather just a bit more energetic than gelled alcohol. Then, it is nicely plated and of a thicker metal than the proverbial tin can.In growing up and going to various schools for science, alcohol lamps are not strangers to me, so when this came it was immediately filled with 99.5% tincture of Isopropanol and lit with a three dollar butane lighter, and it only took a few seconds to get it lit the first time. As the copper heated the flame lost some color, naturally, andwarmed a cup of water steadily, but not too energetically, which says to me the lamp can be raised higher, closer to the heating flask without fear of hot spots.Even with the folding stove the wind cup is effective with gusting. Extinguishing the flame with the supplied candle snuffer is painless, unlike using a paint can top. The windscreen was manufactured with some sort of mandrel that gives it a conical-type shape that may be useful in forming a better air column for the flame.The unused fuel can be poured back into the solvent flask.There are protrusions along the weld seam area, not having anything to do with sealing the stove. These might be for a specialized mounting attachment for the benchtop monkey bars, to do some heating away from the tabletop.The unit is a vital part of my emergency-preparedness kit.

Got this for a science demo device and using with coffee siphon to demonstrate thermodynamics. It is a demo in itself and worked perfect. No wicks or other things to mess up. Takes a moment to figure out how to light. But hold on side light with lighter on the ring by the hole and flame cones out steady rotate to sit for use and enjoy.

I like the quality and set up. Only issue I have is that the flame will go out everytime with about an 1/4 inch of fuel still in it. Otherwise easy to light and burns strong

Very strong clean flame. Amazingly easy to light. The only issue is that it does get quite hot after 10 minutes or so. Highly recommended.

Had a lot of alcohol coming out the four silicone gaskets. Tightened the four nuts up, and it seams to have help. Whole unit get very warm.. really hot flame, but goes through fluid rather quickly to obtain it..

Only one of two wicks work. The wicks depend on a small hole drilled in each of the copper loops; only one of the loops had the small hole. Poor quality control. Returned.

Solid little burner. Feels like it will last forever. Only issue ( just me being me) is no instructions included. My first alcohol stove and I only know what, in general, the rules are for using it.Hope it works good (and doesn't blow up). ;)
