I loved this movie when it came out, and now it is a fun way to revisit the 90s. Funny and lighthearted, with some poignant social commentary, and great zingers. "There goes your social life." 🤣🤣🤣

Clueless, despite the almost unbearably shallow and overly cheesy lives of Cher (Alicia Silverstone) and her high school friends; Dionne (Stacy Dash), Tai (Brittany Murphy), and love interest/ex-step-brother, Josh, (Paul Rudd) (yes you read that right ex-step-brother) all living in Beverly Hills is a not so classic coming of age story where a girl learns about her true friends, and just might find some love.No matter your sense of humor, you will chuckle at many, if not all the one liners this movie brings to light. With Silverstone’s ability to deliver totally vapid lines such as pronouncing Haitians and Hate-ians for an entire monologue, describing her lack of a sex life as being “hymenally challenged”, or how she can’t take a hint that her crush, Christian, in fact is gay, will make you crack up, or at least make you think twice about what they just said. The overall meaning of the movie is a bit dense, but that’s the beauty of the whole thing, because something so ‘airheady’ and common, was one of the most viewed movies 1990’s and has lines that are definitely as quotable as an Adam Sandler or Will Ferrell film, I know some say might disagree, but to them I’d say, “ugh, as if”.This relatively simple plot about a high schooler finding love and figuring out life would normally remind you of one of those awful Netflix originals, but Amy Heckerling, writer and producer, makes the movie into something more than just that. If you’re having a hard time picturing Heckerling’s directing style, some of her other films are, Fast times at Ridgemont High and National Lampoon’s Vacation. If you’ve seen either of them, they are also hilarious, and filled with idiotic, and sometimes crude humor.The script for this film, loosely adapted from Jane Austen’s, Emma, is brilliant, Amy Heckerling was able engage sarcasm, and the capture of innocence and ignorance of teenage humor without making it gaudy and immature. Heckerling also did a great job of poking fun at some of the beauty and ‘popularity’ standards of that time such as; all of the girls in the background having nose bandages, or the joking about how something is so bad the mall and daddy’s credit card can’t even fix it.Between the crazy, and all over the place scene of Dionne accidentally getting on the freeway, or the super zoomed in, way to long kissing scene between Cher and her love interest. The Cinematography is, well, definitely could use some work. At times, the camera moves a little quick, and the way the characters are posed at the beginning of scenes is often counterproductive to the scene’s purpose. These two together combined with the idiotic humor could lead to a catastrophic headache for some viewers. Despite this aspect of the film, in some ways, it adds to the overall dramatic feel the movie has as a whole.For a movie about one teenager’s “problems” Clueless, the cast, writer and director did an outstanding job of bringing different personalities together and giving the audience an airheads’ view on life and her inability to grasp the concept of driving was genius, and a must see.

O título diz que essa edição é a de 25º aniversário. E a edição de 25º aniversário costuma vir com uma luva especial. Mas a minha edição chegou sem luva.Até fiquei na dúvida sobre isso antes de comprar.Mas quando prestei atenção nas fotos do produto aqui na Amzon, vi que a imagem do verso corresponde ao verso da luva, não do estojo.Acabei me deixando iludir pelo título e pelas imagens do produto.Nada disso chega a ser um absurdo, mas que rolou uma certa decepção, rolou.

Pero no es éste el caso de «Fuera de onda», y la razón principal es la calidad, el cuidado con que se miman hasta los últimos detalles en esta película.Cosa de la que te informan oportunamente los muchos y muy buenos contenidos adicionales que la acompañan. En ellos aprendes a admirar la ingente labor de la guionista y directora Amy Heckerling, que se basó en el personaje de Emma, de la novela homónima de Jane Austen, para poner en pie al personaje de la protagonista de la cinta: la simpática y nada descerebrada Cher (Alicia Silverstone), que, como la Emma de Austen, tiene la debilidad de emparejar, sea como sea, a una de sus amigas, Tai (Brittany Murphy), con resultados desastrosos cada vez. Y todo para acabar descubriendo su propio gran amor en el sitio más inesperado (como le ocurre también a Emma).Una comedia fresca y muy bien realizada (aparte de divertidísima), a la que el paso del tiempo no sólo respeta sino ensalza.

In meno di 24 ore addirittura !Il film è un ricordo di infanzia / adolescenza, ispirato dal romanzo Emma di Jane Austen, ambientato però negli anni 90. Nota importante : se si vuole comprare il film con doppiaggio italiano e sottotitolato anche in italiano, è possibile trovarlo ma solo edizione standard che include come elementi extra il trailer e il teaser. Le edizioni speciali con copertina glitterata e molti altri elementi extra, purtroppo non includono la lingua italiana!
